Friday’s Hundredth – 8 Year Anniversary event for DEFY Wrestling in Seattle, Washington featured Ricochet making a surprise appearance.
During the show, Swerve Strickland’s entrance theme song played leading to the crowd believing that Strickland was coming out for his scheduled appearance on the show. This turned out to be a swerve by Ricochet who came out instead to the reception of boos from the crowd.
Ricochet grabbed a microphone and gave a promo stating that Strickland was not here tonight and the crowd did not deserve to hear what he had to say in response to their constant booing and “why you bald?” chants. Ricochet then called out Strickland and after some more words, the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Strickland appeared in the ring and attacked Ricochet leading to a brawl between the two. Ricochet then attempted to escape only for Prince Nana to come up from behind and tossed him back into the ring, which led to Strickland hitting Ricochet with a House Call kick. Before Strickland could do anything else, Ricochet shoved Nana into him and used the opening to escape to safety.
