Miro and Ricky Starks reportedly were released from AEW, according to PWInsider.
In regards to Miro, Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Miro and AEW officials had come to a mutual agreement for his release.
Johnson reported that Miro had previously asked for his release this past September and the two sides had been working towards a release agreement for some time.
In regards to Starks, Johnson initially reported that Starks was removed from AEW’s roster page on Monday.
In a follow-up report, Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that Starks was also released from AEW. Johnson reported that Starks is 100% “free and clear” to go anywhere he wants for the future of his wrestling career.
Both Miro and Starks are currently expected to get a lot of interest from other promotions for potential bookings and new deals.
Prior to their departures, Starks had been with AEW since June of 2020 while Miro had been with AEW since September of 2020.
