New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that they have cancelled all of the matches for tonight’s New Japan Cup 2025 event in Tokyo, Japan due to issues involving a broken ring post prior to the scheduled start of the event.
It was announced that a talk show will be taking place instead and refunds will be issued for those who had purchased tickets for the event.
March 7 Korakuen Hall event canceled
Thank you for supporting New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Due to a broken ring post tonight’s event in Korakuen Hall has been forced to be canceled.
A talk show will take place in place of matches, with tickets to be refunded.
NJPW deeply apologies for the abrupt cancellation of tonight’s event and the disappointment and inconvenience caused.
Tokyo Sports’ Okamoto posted a photo of the broken ring post on Twitter.
