As noted before, this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured an emotional promo segment between Bianca Belair and Naomi over Naomi admitting to being the mystery person who had attacked Jade Cargill.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE writer Ioannis Fillippides was listed as the segment’s writer and TJ Wilson was listed as the producer for the segment.
One longtime WWE employee spoken to reportedly stated that this promo segment marked a significant moment for Naomi due to her never being given such a substantial spotlight in a segment of this nature in the company. It was reported that the general reaction backstage was that Naomi had delivered her promo exceptionally well. It was also reported that Belair’s reaction also had received high praise, as well as Jade Cargill’s involvement, the writing, the production, and the camera work that captured the intensity of the moment.
One source spoken to reportedly brought up how effectively the camera work enhanced Cargill’s arrival for the segment. It was reported that at least six WWE insiders praised the segment and commended everyone involved from the talent to the production and creative teams.
It was also reported that despite recent speculation, there were no reported backstage issues regarding Cargill following her return to WWE at the Elimination Chamber 2025 event earlier this month.
