A recent episode of the Bill Simmons Podcast featured WWE President Nick Khan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about him expecting a number of AEW talents to jump ship to WWE once their contracts with AEW expires.
“In terms of the other wrestling promotional company, they have a lot of talented wrestlers and we’re happy about that. When, contractually, they are available to talk to and have conversations with, assume a number of them will come over. Nothing but respect to the father who finances it and owns the Jaguars and all those other things.”
Khan also gave his thoughts about his claims that WWE does not simply sign people and bench them unlike their current main rival promotion.
“That’s something we won’t do. We won’t sign and bench people. We sign people who we want to use. If another entity signs and benches people now, that’s not something we would do.”
In response to host Simmons stating that is a thing that happens, Khan reiterated his comments claiming that this is something WWE does not do.
“That’s what I’ve been told from time to time. Not us.”
