Saturday’s Countdown to WrestleMania 41 pre-show event in Las Vegas, Nevada featured WWE officially announcing that they have purchased Mexican promotion Lucha Libre AAA.
It was also confirmed that they will be holding a new Worlds Collide event featuring NXT and AAA talent on June 7th at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.

Prior to its purchase, AAA had been around as an independent promotion owned by the Pena family since 1992.
