As noted before, Lucha Libre AAA held a press conference on Monday to announced WWE talents Los Garza (Angel Garza & Berto) will be making an appearance at their Triplemania Regia 2025 event on June 15th in Monterrey, Mexico.
LuchaBlog reported that besides Los Garza, WWE Hall of Famer JBL and “unspecified” TNA talents were also announced to be making an appearance at this upcoming event.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) and current TNA World Champion Joe Hendry are currently expected to be the TNA talents appearing at AAA’s upcoming event.
Meltzer reported that while The Hardys and Hendry are not big name stars in Mexico, The Hardys have been to Mexico before for shows.
In regards to WWE, Meltzer reported that AAA officials were originally hoping that WWE would send Penta, Rey Fenix, Dominik Mysterio, El Grande Americano (Chad Gable), and other big stars due to their Triplemania Regia being a big show for the company. Meltzer reported that whole Angel and Berto are not big stars in WWE, they are in theory stars in Mexico for why they were sent for the upcoming event.
Melter also reported that had Rey Mysterio not torn his groin, he likely would have made an appearance and compete at AAA’s upcoming event.
