Rhea Ripley Comments on Her Injuries in 2024 & What She Had Learned About Herself During Time Away from Wrestling
Wide World of Sports held a recent interview with Rhea Ripley. One of the topics discussed included Ripley’s thoughts about her injuries in 2024 and what she had learned about herself during her time away from wrestling.
“When you get injured, you learn a lot about yourself and 2024 was not very kind to me, I did a grade three AC sprain and then finally came back from that, which was so tough, not being able to do things that I love like going to the gym or holding my dogs. It definitely was a mental struggle and also a physical struggle – training legs every single day was terrible, but I finally came back and I got to go for my world championship again and try and grab that back – but then I broke my orbital bone (eye socket). It was just injuries flying left and right, but I learned a lot about myself in that I can pretty much overcome whatever is in my way and that’s such a strong thing to realise.”
Grayson Waller Comments on WWE Holding This Year’s Crown Jewel Event in Australia & Wanting to Make Sure He’s on the Card
A recent episode of the Robbie & Carly radio show featured Rhea Ripley and Grayson Waller as the guests. One of the topics discussed included Waller’s thoughts about WWE holding this year’s Crown Jewel event in Australia and if he wants to headline the upcoming event.
“Of course. I think anyone who says they wouldn’t want to be in there on the WWE roster is a liar, but obviously there’s a huge amount of competition. Obviously, you’ve got Rhea bloody Ripley, the number one — I was going to say women’s wrestler but I don’t think it’s a case agenda, I think she’s the best wrestler in the world right now.”
Waller also gave his thoughts about him wanting to make sure that he is somewhere on the card for the upcoming show.
“You’ve got John Cena coming but it wouldn’t be me if I wasn’t still talking my game and saying, ‘I want to be in the main event, I want to take on the best of the best.’ Who knows, we’ve got six months or so before we get to this show and i’m gonna make sure I’m somewhere on that card.”

Backstage Update on Adam Pearce’s Abscense from April 28th WWE RAW Show
The April 28th WWE RAW show in Kansas City, Missouri was notable for SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis filling in for Adam Pearce as the acting General Manager for RAW.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reason for Pearce’s abscense from last week’s RAW show was not due to any behind-the-scenes related issues. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Pearce missed the show due to a pre-scheduled surgical procedure. This surgery reportedly had been planned in advance and kept Pearce off of television for just one RAW episode.
Besides making his on-screen return on Monday’s RAW show in Omaha, Nebraska, Johnson reported that Pearce also has already resumed his duties as a producer for WWE’s RAW brand.
