As noted before, Jeff Cobb departed from New Japan Pro Wrestling this past April and is currently believed to have joined WWE.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Cobb is currently expected to start “soon” with WWE. Several people within WWE reportedly currently believe that Cobb will make his official debut appearance at this Saturday’s Backlash 2025 event in St. Louis, Missouri.
Johnson reported that WWE’s exact plans for Cobb’s official debut is currently not known and he has yet to confirm if Cobb will be making an on-camera appearance at this Saturday’s event.
Johnson reported that WWE officials have been actively discussing creative plans for Cobb’s debut in recent weeks in preparation of his integration onto their roster.
