John Cena Attacks R-Truth at WWE Backlash 2025 Post-Show Press Conference
Saturday’s WWE Backlash 2025 event at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri featured John Cena defeating Randy Orton to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. This match was notable for featuring multiple referee bumps, Orton going on an RKO spree on SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and WWE officials, and Cena cheating to win. This match also featured R-Truth running out to prevent Orton from hitting a punt to Cena only to get hit with an RKO in return from Orton.
Following the show, Cena was among the speakers for the post-show press conference. During his portion of the press conference, R-Truth showed up to interrupt and told Cena that he will continue to support Cena even if the people say he sucks and can’t wrestle. This led to Cena being upset over the interruption and told Truth that was over the line and there would be repercussions if Truth said one more thing. Truth responded by saying “one more thing” leading to Cena hitting an AA to Truth through the table.
