Superstar Crossover’s YoJoshMartinez held a recent interview with Will Ospreay. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay’s thoughts about WWE running their Battleground 2025 event for their NXT brand against AEW’s Double or Nothing 2025 event on the same night later this month.
“We smoke them in every field of wrestling. Mate, we’re just better.
I respect them. I respect every single one of them there. They’re all vets, they all know what they’re doing, they’re great at their job, they understand getting people on their feet, but we are so much more of a better wrestling company than them.
Our guys smoke them every single day of the week. They’ve got good guys like Gunther, they’ve got great guys like Orton, they’ve got good guys like Chad Gable, I respect all of them but on our worst day, we smoke all of you guys.”
Ospreat also gave his thoughts about working with Jerry Lynn in AEW and his praise of Lynn’s work backstage in the company.
“Backstage, I’ve been working a lot with Jerry Lynn. I’m fascinated (by) his knowledge and his tenure, and he’s really been helping me understand and break down a lot of things where I feel like I lacked and needed those fine-tuning pieces. Getting to work with the legend that is Jerry Lynn has been beautiful.”
