AEW held a new television tapings for AEW Collision on Wednesday at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
This taping will be for this week’s Collision episode on Thursday, May 22nd.
This taping was held after AEW’s Dynamite tapings that night in the same venue.
In regards to notable moments from the tapings, two new matches matches weere announced for the card of Double or Nothing 2025 on May 25th at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The first new match announced was a Trios match of Paragon (Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, & Adam Cole) vs. The Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander, Konosuke Takeshita, & Kyle Fletcher). This new match was setup following a promo by Adam Cole who issued a challenge to the Don Callis Family for a match at Double or Nothing that was accepted afterwards by Don Callis.
The second new match was a tag team match of Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Anna Jay & Harley Cameron.

- Tony Schiavone introduced both FTR and Daniel Garcia & Nigel McGuinness to the ring for their match contract signing. Cash Wheeler gave Garcia and McGuinness one more chance to reconsider this match and stated that they think of Garcia like a son. Wheeler stated that on Sunday there is no commentary table for McGuinness, who he called a shell of his former self, to hide behind. Garcia responded stating that he cared about FTR a lot and he still does even if they are narcissistic sociopaths. Garcia stated that he is standing up for Tony Schiavone, Daddy Magic, Adam Copeland, and everyone who is tired of FTR’s antics. After some more banter between Garcia, McGuinness, and Dax Harwood, a brawl broke out after Harwood slapped McGuinness in the face. This led to McGuinness and Garcia locking FTR into submissions and making FTR tap. McGuinnes stated that “At Double or Nothing, this Ends!”
- A video package aired featuring comments from “Timeless” Toni Storm about her opponent Mina Shirakawa for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Double or Nothing.
- Trios match – Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita & RPG Vice (Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta)) defeated The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) & Bandido
- A video package aired hyping up Gabe Kidd
- A video package aired hyping up The Sons of Texas ahead of their AEW World Tag Team Championship match against Hurt Syndicate at Double or Nothing
- Kyle Fletcher defeated Jay Lethal. Following the match, Don Callis Family’s Josh Alexander & Konosuke Takeshita ran out and attacked Lethal leading to Paragon running out to save Lethal and cleared the ring of the Don Callis Family.
- Paragon (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) defeated Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson). Adam Cole was on guest commentary for this match. Following the match, Cole issued a challenge to the Don Callis Family for a tag team match at Double or Nothing.
- Josh Alexander defeated AR Fox
- Don Callis responded to Adam Cole’s challenge accepting it and stating that Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, & Josh Alexander will be representing the Don Callis Family for this Trios match at Double or Nothing.
- TBS Championship – Mercedes Mone (c) defeated Reyna Isis. Following the match, Jamie Hayter came out and prepared to brawl with Mone that was broken up after security ran out to separate the two.
- Trios match – Mistico, Templario, & Mascara Dorada defeated Los Depredadores (Volador Jr., Magnus, & Rugido)
- A video aired hyping up the newly announced Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Anna Jay & Harley Cameron tag team match at Double or Nothing
- Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale were interviewed backstage
- Komander & “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated La Faccion Ingobernable (RUSH & Dralistico). Following the match, AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada came out to the ring to confront Bailey. This led to Bailey extending his hand and Okada responding flipping him off. This led to a brawl breaking out that ended with Bailey taking out Okada and grabbed the Continental title and took it with him up to the entrance to end the show.
