As noted before, TNA issued a new edict earlier this month banning “excessive blood” and blading from matches going forward due to the company is currently shopping around Impact! for a potential new television deal. This new ban was later clarified to not be an actual strict ban and instead more of the company encouraging their talent to use blood more sparingly for matches and shows.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that TNA officials recently enacted more new bans and changes for talents for their shows.
It was reported that a recent internal memo issued by TNA’s Talent Relations department stated that slaps are no longer allowed unless approved by an agent beforehand.
It was also reported that talent are no longer allowed to make a throat slash gesture during shows and those who break this rule will now be issued a $100 fine per offense.
It was also reported that TNA officials held a talent meeting on Saturday to discuss the new changes and their unhappiness over the internal memos being leaked. TNA reportedly also had held other talent-related meetings this weekend as well.
