Mercedes Mone Wins 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament

Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2025 event at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona featured Mercedes Mone defeating Jamie Hayter in the Finals of this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

As a result of her victory, Mone will officially challenge “Timeless” Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at this July’s All In: Texas event.

This was Mone’s first ever Women’s Owen Hart Cup victory in her AEW career.


Hangman Adam Page Wins 2025 Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament

Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2025 event also featured Hangman Adam Page defeating Will Ospreay in the Finals of this year’s Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

As a result of his victory, Page will officially challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at this July’s All In: Texas event.

This was Page’s first ever Men’s Owen Hart Cup victory in his AEW career.


HOOK Makes Surprise Return & Teases Dissension with The Opps

Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2025 event also featured HOOK making his surprise return.

During the Anarchy in the Arena match between Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale, & The Opps and Death Riders & Young Bucks, a mystery hooded person came out and attacked Claudio Castagnoli with a golf club laying him out. This person pulled down their hoodie revealing himself to be HOOK. HOOK then proceeded to ignore Samoa Joe’s calls for him to get in the ring and help out their team and instead walked way as Joe looked on confused over what just happened.


Hiroshi Tanahashi Makes Surprise Appearance at AEW Double or Nothing 2025

Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2025 event also featured New Japan Pro Wrestling President and talent Hiroshi Tanahashi making a surprise appearance.

Following the Don Callis Family’s Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, & Josh Alexander’s victory over Paragon in a Trios match, the rest of the Don Callis Family’s RPG Vice and Lance Archer came out and attacked Paragon. This led to Brody King’s music playing to interrupt and him and Tomohiro Ishii come out to the stage. This then led to Tanahashi’s music playing and him coming out to be alongside King and Ishii. The three then made their way to the ring and engaged in a brawl with the Don Callis Family to save Paragon and clear the ring of the Family.


AEW International Title Four-Way Match Announced for Fyter Fest 2025, Tournament to Determine Challengers

Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2025 event also featured the first match officially announced for the card of AEW Fyter Fest 2025, which takes place on June 4th at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.

This upcoming Fyter Fest 2025 special was announced to be a four-hour television special to be split up into two shows that night, one for Dynamite and one for Collision.

This new match announced was an AEW International Championship Four-way match of TBD vs. TBD vs. TBD vs. Kenny Omega (c).

It was announced that the three challengers for this upcoming match will be determined in an upcoming AEW International Championship tournament with the winners of each tournament match to advance to the title match at Fyter Fest.
