NJPW Reveals Participants for G1 Climax 2025 Play-In Tournament & Details for G1 Climax Playoffs

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the full field of competitors for the Play-in Tournament for this year’s G1 Climax 2025.

It was announced that this upcoming Play-in Tournament will be taking place on June 23rd at the Korakuen Hall and July 4th at the Buddoken Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

The four winners will earn the final four spots for the field of this year’s G1 Climax tournament.

Full matchups for G1 Climax 2025 Play-In Tournament:

• June 23rd – A Block Play-In Tournament – Taichi vs. Callum Newman
• June 23rd – B Block Play-In Tournament – Tomohiro Ishii vs. Drilla Moloney
• July 4th – A Block Play-In Tournament – Ryohei Oiwa vs. Don Fale
• July 4th – B Block Play-In Tournament – YOSHI-HASHI vs. Chase Owens

NJPW also announced that the top three competitors from each block of the G1 Climax will advance to the playoffs round. The winners of A and B Block will each receive a bye while the second and third place finishers will face off against each other in the First Round on August 14th. The winners of the First Round will face off against the group block winners in the Semifinal Round on August 16th and the winners of these matches will advance to the Finals on August 17th.
