Eddy Thorpe Says He Asked for His Release “So I Could Do Something Fu**ing Meaningful With My Life”

As noted before, NXT talent Eddy Thorpe was released from WWE this past May as part of a larger batch of talent releases.

In response to a recent fan question, Thorpe, real name Karl Fredericks, stated that he had asked for his release from WWE so that he could do “something fucking meaningful with my life” in regards to his wrestling career.

This fan stated “@KarlFredericks_ really love what you are posting. it kind of feels like most wrestlers try to be apolitical to a fault, which just makes me assume they believe the wrong things. also really liked seeing you on tv since you are also indigenous.” Fredericks responded stating “I asked for my release from WWE so I could do something fucking meaningful with my life.“

Brie Bella Comments on Not Being Contacted Yet for WWE Return

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella made her return appearance to WWE earlier this month and was involved in a feud with Liv Morgan for next month’s Evolution 2 event that was dropped following Morgan suffering a dislocated shoulder injury on the June 17th WWE RAW show.

This past Saturday’s Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards’ 2025 event in Santa Monica, California featured WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella among the guests on the orange carpet. NEWS4SANANTONIO held an interview with Bella’s about her thoughts about her following her sister Nikki and making her own potential return to WWE.

“I mean, I would love to return. But I’m kind of waiting for that call still. Nikki got the call. Brie didn’t. So, you know, I didn’t change my number. If you guys wanted to know. All we need is a phone call and that can happen.”

Bron Breakker vs. Penta and Goldberg Interview Announced for Monday’s WWE RAW Show

WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce recently announced one new match and one new segment for the card of tonight’s WWE RAW show at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

In regards to the new match, this was announced to be a singles match of Bron Breakker vs. Penta.

In regards to the new segment, this was announced to be a sit-down interview featuring WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg.
