Pat McAfee has been noticeably absent for the past three weeks from WWE’s RAW brand commentary team. SmackDown commentator Wade Barrett filled in for McAfee on the June 9th WWE RAW show while NXT commentator Corey Graves has filled in for McAfee for the past two RAW shows.
A recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show featured co-host McAfee explaining his reason for his current abscense from WWE and why he will not be returning any time soon.
“I will not be commentating. Continuing to catch up on life as a whole. Post-Money in the Bank, Pre-Night of Champions. Feels like a good time. I was getting pretty exhausted there. Shoutout to everybody in WWE looking out for me, too. Very thankful.”
