WWE Late Night featuring Tony Hinchcliffe set for SummerSlam weekend
June 27, 2025 – WWE today announced that WWE Late Night Featuring Tony Hinchcliffe will take place at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 2 at 11pm ET, as a part of SummerSlam weekend.
Hinchcliffe, the internationally renowned comedian, one of the top roasters in the world and the mastermind behind Kill Tony, will bring together soon-to-be-announced top comics, entertainers and WWE Superstars for an unforgettable night of laughs and huge surprises.
An exclusive presale opportunity for the closed-doors, non-televised event will begin Monday, June 30 at 10am ET/7am PT until 11:59 pm ET/8:59pm PT via https://www.Ticketmaster.com, followed by the general public ticket on-sale on Tuesday, July 1 at 10am ET.
This past April, Hinchcliffe hosted The Roast of WrestleMania Featuring Tony Hinchcliffe & Friends at the state-of-the-art BleauLive Theater in front of a sold-out crowd at Fontainebleau Las Vegas as a part of WrestleMania® 41 week. The roast featured WWE Superstars such as The Miz and Sami Zayn, as well as legendary WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, among others.
This will be the second comedy event WWE will be holding this year featuring Hinchcliffe as ths host following this past April’s “Roast of WrestleMania” event in Las Vegas, Nevada. That event was notable for WWE’s rules forbidden any broadcasting of the event from those in attendance and controversial comments made by several people who gave roast speeches.
Karrion Kross Responds to Rumors of Him Refusing to Take Bumps During His Matches
As noted before, a recent rumor spread over this week online claiming that Karrion Kross does not like to take bumps during his matches leading to people bringing up clips of Kross’ matches where he has issues with certain bumps and spots. This rumor originated from a recent report from Pro Wrestling Torch’s Wade Keller who stated that talent spoken to within WWE stated that they believe Kross won’t become a big star in WWE due to their feeling that he does not like to bump during matches.
The National News held a recent interview with Kross. One of the topics discussed included Kross’ thoughts about the recent rumors claiming that he does not like to take bumps during his matches.
“I thought out of all the crazy articles that are fabricated about me every week, that was the weakest,” he says, laughing. “There was another wild one I saw last week that was even funnier. It said something like, ‘Karrion Kross is going to come to Monday Night Raw and he’s going to quit and do a shoot promo live, and then walk out.’ I thought that was a good one. But I don’t really respond to any of them. There’s a crazy one about me every week or two. You just kind of have to laugh.”
Ryback Walks Back on Prior Comments Towards Kevin Owens & Cody Rhodes
As noted before, former WWE wrestler Ryback recently responded to comments made by Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens in a recent episode of the What Do You Want To Talk About? podcast about WWE wrestlers “overpricing” themselves out of the indies and him assuming they were talking about him.
Ryback issued an official statement earlier today on Twitter clarifying his recent comments directed at Rhodes and Owens and stated that he had a talk with both of them and they confirmed they were not actually talking about him for their comments on the podcast.
“I want to clarify something from my recent post regarding the clip with @FightOwensFight and @CodyRhodes. After speaking with Kevin, he confirmed the person referenced in that specific comment wasn’t me. My name did come up in another part of the conversation, but not in that clip.
I jumped to conclusions based on the name being censored and Cody mentioning working shows with the guy. Since I haven’t been publicly mentioned much in years, I assumed it was about me — and I was wrong.
I appreciate Kevin for the honest conversation. We always got along, and I’ve always respected both him and Cody. This is a reminder to ask before assuming, and I’m grateful the post brought awareness to my story regardless, as a lot has been misunderstood in the past.
Much love to you both.”
