Taichi Qualifies for NJPW G1 Climax 2025 Tournament, Updated Full Field of Competitors Set

Sunday’s NJPW New Japan Soul 2025 event in Tokyo, Japan featured Taichi qualifying for the final spot in this year’s G1 Climax 2025 tournament.

Taichi defeated Tomohiro Ishii, Satoshi Kojima, and Chase Owens in a Last Chance Play-In Gauntlet match.

Taichi replaces Hirooki Goto for this year’s G1 Climax tournament following Goto being pulled due to a right elbow injury.

This year’s G1 Climax tournament takes place from July 19th to August 17th in Japan.
