Tony D’Angelo Steals Stacks’ NXT Heritage Cup & Makes It Swim with The Fishes
Saturday’s WWE NXT Great American Bash 2025 event at the Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia featured Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo’s NXT Hertiage Cup Championship being stolen by a mystery person.
During the show, a video aired featuring Stacks talking about his upcoming final battle with Tony D’Angelo and Luca Crusifino for his NXT Heritage Cup title at next week’s NXT show. Stacks was then seen going inside the WWE Performance Center and placed his Heritage Cup down before havign a chat with head trainer Matt Bloom. After Stacks was finished, he walked back to where his Cup was supposed to be only to find out that it was missing and someone had stolen it. This led to an angry reaction by Stacks asking the front receptionist where his cup was and left the venue searching for the mystery robber.

In a follow-up segment, a video aired featuring Tony D’Angelo at a bridge location talking about his upcoming final battle match against Stacks and Crusifino. Near the end of his speech, D’Angelo stated that Stacks would be going into that match lighter and revealed that he was the mystery person who stole his NXT Heritage Cup and tossed it over the bridge into the water below.
NXT Heatwave 2025 Announced for August 24th in Lowell, MA
Saturday’s WWE NXT Great American Bash 2025 event also featured the announcement of this year’s NXT Heatwave event taking place on August 24th at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts.

In an interesting note, this year’s NXT Heatwave event takes place on the same day as AEW and NJPW’s co-promoted Forbidden Door 2025 event in London, England.
Masha Slamovich Makes Surprise Appearance
Saturday’s WWE NXT Great American Bash 2025 event also featured current TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich making a surprise appearance.
During the main event tag team match between Jordynne Grace & Blake Monroe and Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne), Jazmyn Nyx interfered multiple times to help out her fellow Fatal Influence buddies. This eventually led to Slamovich running out to help even the odds and brawled with Nyx to the back.

Saturday’s WWE NXT Great American Bash 2025 event also featured one new match announced for the card of next week’s NXT show on July 15th at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
This new match announced was a Six-Man Tag Team match of Joe Hendry, Mike Santana, & Trick Williams vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James, and/or Saquon Shugars).
So he's not with DarkState…
