As noted before, Adam Cole was pulled from AEW’s All In Texas event due to an undisclosed injury and vacated his TNT Championship as a result. During the event, Cole came out to the ring and gave a tearful speech stating that he was dealing with health issues for the reason why he could not compete and while he’s not saying its a a retirement, he will be away for a long while.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the reason why Cole was pulled from All In Texas was due to he had recently suffered a concussion injury. It was reported that those spoken to stated that Cole was not feeling very good and in the “wee hours” of Saturday, a decision was made to sideline him.
Cole reportedly is believed to have suffered the injury this week.
In regards to Cole’s speech, it was reported that that the scene backstage was very emotional.
Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources confirmed that Cole had suffered a concussion injury and provided additional details.
Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that Cole suffered the injury during the Trios match between Paragon and Don Callis Family at this past Thursday’s AEW Collision show. Cole reportedly was hurt following a lariat spot from Kyle Fletcher during the match. While Cole received some attention by the referee, he was able to finish the match.
Following his speech at Saturday’s All In Texas event, Cole reflected on Twitter thanking everyone for the support they have shown towards him.

Cole previously suffered a serious concussion injury in 2022 that kept him out of action for nine months.
