Bianca Belair Broken Finger Injury Update
As noted before, Bianca Belair has been out of action for WWE since this past April’s WrestleMania 41 Night 2 event due to a broken finger injury.
CBS Sports held a recent interview with Belair. One of the topics discussed included Belair providing an update on her recovery from her broken finger injury and not having a timetable yet for a potential in-ring return.
I broke it in three places and the joint. It healed, but it won’t bend. You can’t wrestle with a straight finger because it’ll break again… I can’t even sew right now. I can’t even make gear. We’re on the end of this healing process, so we might have some time, but you never know. Crazy things happen.
I needed this break. I’ve been going for the past five years nonstop in the title picture, filming reality TV shows and appearances. I think I had over 300 appearances in one year.”
Goldberg Says He Suffered Broken Hand Injury During His Retirement Match at July 12th WWE SNME Show
A recent episode of the CarCast podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and co-host Bill Goldberg revealing that he had suffered a broken hand injury during his retirement match against Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show earlier this month.
“Oh yeah, yeah (I feel good physically following the retirement match). You can’t really tell but, my hand, I broke my hand, at some point in that match and I think today’s the first day I can see veins back in my hand. It’s not nearly as swollen as it was. That and… shoulder didn’t hurt, neck didn’t hurt. My knee isn’t worse.”
Goldberg also gave his praise of Gunther and stated that his retirement match could not have been done without him being involved.
“All I hear is people complaining about me complaining and not many have reached the fact that it was the second-longest match I ever did in my life at 58 years old. Now, I could not have done it without GUNTHER. That kid is freakin’ unbelievable. I mean, it was a wonderful opportunity to be in the ring with him, and an honor, and I couldn’t have done it without him. Your limitations are yourself and your dance partner, and he made it happen so, it was awesome. I had a good time.
GUNTHER stayed 30 minutes to an hour afterwards, after I was talking to all my friends in the room in the back. That kid’s got class. He’s got a lot of class. I can’t say enough good things about him, and hopefully his future is filled with nothing but awesome stuff so, it couldn’t have been done without him.”

Stratton stated “Oh, we have so many athletes from all different kinds of backgrounds. We’ve got gymnasts, we’ve got football players, we’ve got dancers, and I think they all just kind of report to the Performance Center and they train to become the next WWE superstar and I think it’s so important to have some sort of training center to coach the next in line, the future of the business, and they’ve been doing such a great job. I am from the WWE Performance Center. I’m a homegrown talent so, I am proof that the WWE Performance Center works.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
Metro held a recent interview with Paul Heyman. One of the topics discussed included Heyman’s thoughts about New Jack’s inclusion in WWE 2K25 being a “moment of completion in the video game industry” and his claims that New Jack influenced the creation of the Grand Theft Auto video game series. Heyman stated “This is a moment of completion in the entire video game industry, you cannot deny New Jack’s influence in sports entertainment/pro wrestling culture, nor should you deny his influence on video games. Most of the people that are writing the codes that then become the video games were ECW or WWE fans, and I mean, are you telling me that those who make Grand Theft Auto weren’t influenced by New Jack? Come on!” Heyman also gave his thoughts about New Jack’s inclusion as a playable DLC character being a fantastic idea to pay tribute to him. Heyman stated “Oh my God! What a fantastic idea to pay tribute to someone that has been such an influence on not only the culture of pro wrestling, but on the culture of video games, because of the influence that we’ve had on those who write the games.“
In a recent interview with Sun Sport, Bryan Danielson gave his thoughts about his reasons why him main eventing WrestleMania 30 and winning the WWE Championship at the event does not hold much sentimental value for him. Danielson stated “I main evented WrestleMania 30 with WWE. And honestly, it doesn’t mean that much to me. My sister and my niece got to come into the ring, right? But I was about to marry my wife the following Friday and they wouldn’t let her come down to the ring. They didn’t want her to be in the thing. And then on top of that, it wasn’t just that — it was like, I was going through a ton of neck pain and all these other things. So these things that seem like cool moments to a viewer, there’s all this other stuff going on in a wrestler’s life or in a performer’s life that could make that moment not as valuable to them as it is to the people viewing.” Danielson also gave his thoughts about why his career vs. title match against Swerve Strickland at AEW’s All In 2024 event was the match that meant the most for him. Danielson stated “So I would say that at All In, it’s the whole circumstance. It’s knowing that my career’s coming to an end. It’s knowing that this might be the last time that my kids ever get to see me wrestle. It’s them being there. It’s the crowd reaction. I mean, the U.K. crowds are just the best, right? It’s all of those things. It’s Swerve Strickland’s performance.” (Transcript h/t: F4WOnline.com)
