WWE announced that the WWE Intercontinental Championship match of The British Bulldog vs. Bret “The Hitman” Hart (c) from Summerslam 1992 topped their 25 Greatest SummerSlam Matches Ever list.

In the lead-up to this weekend’s two-night SummerSlam 2025 event in East Rutherford, New Jersey, WWE had been doing a countdown featuring one match being officially unveiled on their list each day.
