Backstage Unhappiness Reportedly Within WWE Over Seth Rollins Worked Injury

As noted before, WWE’s SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 show at the MetLife Stadium earlier this month in East Rutherford, New Jersey featured Seth Rollins making his surprise return from injury and successfully cashed in his Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Rollins injury situation was later confirmed to have been a “work” and not a legitimate injury.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that has been a lot of unhappiness within WWE over Rollins’ worked injury situation.

Johnson reported that much of Rollins’ situation has left a “very unhealthy” flavor” in the mouths of a lot of people who work behind the scenes for the company and also many talents who are in-ring performers. This unhappiness reportedly revolved around a lot of people within the company being lied to over Rollins’ injury situation.

Besides talent and staff, many creative writers and officials had also been duped and kept in the dark over Rollins’ injury situation and the plans for his surprise cash-in at SummerSlam.

Mark Henry Comments on “Hulk Hogan Said In His Words He Was A Racist. Why Would I Defend Somebody Who Tells You Who They Were?”

FOX aired their new The Real Hulk Hogan documentary on their network on Tuesday night featuring WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry among those who were interviewed.

One of the topics discussed included Henry’s thoughts about Hulk Hogan’s racist remarks he made that secretly were captured on camera in 2007 and leaked in 2015.

“He said, in his words, that he was a racist. Why would I sit here and try to defend somebody that tells you who they were? It hurt. It hurt. I grew up watching the dude. I used to love that dude. I wanted to be like him. It hurts. I told him then, and I told Vince McMahon, if y’all want this to go away, I know how to fix it. We should do a black college tour at Morehouse and Prairie View and hit the circuit. Go and talk to them and be honest with your apology. He was like, ‘I’ve been advised not to talk about it no more.’ I said, ‘I think that’s bad advice.”

Henry also gave his thoughts about if wrestling would be what it is today without Hogan.

“Absolutely not. Hogan was able to show people the template of what it takes to entertain people. Regardless of his shortcomings, it didn’t make him less of a wrestler. It didn’t make him less of an entertainer. It’s never going to take away from his greatness.”
