AEW held a new television tapings for AEW Collision on Thursday at The Andrew J Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
This taping will be for this week’s Collision episode on Saturday, August 16th.
In regards to notable moments from the tapings, former TNA Wrestling talent Ace Austin made a surprise appearance and was announced to have signed an official contract with AEW.
Another notable moment featured Nigel McGuinness defeating Daniel Garcia, Hechicero, and Lee Moriarty in a #1 Contender Four-way match for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. McGuinness will be competing against Zack Sabre Jr. for the title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 event on August 24th in London, England.

- AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm gave a promo that led to Athena and Billie Starkz running out and attacking Storm. This led to Mina Shirakawa running out to make the save.
- FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) attacked Bandido backstage. This led to Brody King chasing FTR out to the ring that ended with Stokely throwing powder at King and FTR hitting him with a Shatter Machine.
- Death Riders (Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta) defeated JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey)
- Ricochet defeated Ace Austin. Following the match, AEW CEO Tony Khan came out and announced that Austin is “All Elite.”
- Paragon (Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly) defeated Blake Christian & Lee Johnson
- $100K Four-way match – Kris Statlander defeated Julia Hart, Penelope Ford, and Anna Jay. Following the match, a brawl broke out leading to Megan Bayne, Thekla, Skye Blue, Tay Melo, and Queen Aminata all getting involved. This led to Harley Cameron coming out to help Melo and Aminata.
- Juice Robinson defeated Bryan Keith
- Renee Paquette had an interview with Anthony Bowens that led to Bowens yelling at Paquette for asking about Max Caster.
- IWGP World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender Technical Spectacle Four-way match – Nigel McGuinness defeated Daniel Garcia, Hechicero, and Lee Moriarty
