Bishop Dyer (Baron Corbin) Comments on WWE Taking Talents Off TV To Devalue Their Next Contract
A recent episode of Sirius XM’s Off The Ropes show featured Bishop Dyer, former Baron Corbin in WWE, as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Dyer’s thoughts about how WWE has stopped bringing measurables to contract negotiations when it comes to how they determine pay for talent.
“They have no answer to why you are paid what you are paid. For a brief period, they brought measurables to the table, ‘Well, these are your social media numbers, these are your merch numbers, these are your interaction numbers.’ I know somebody on the roster who said, ‘Well, these don’t look right to me.’ They had someone do some serious digging and they countered everything that was being presented to them with facts and then they got a way better contract. That was the last time that they brought those things to the table.”
Dyer also gave his thoughts about how WWE pulls talents off television as a way to devalue them when it comes to talks for a new contract.
“When you get closer to your contract ending, ‘Hey, I’m six months from my contract being up and I’m now I’m not on TV.’ It’s not a coincidence. It’s written that way. ‘Well, we don’t have much for you.’ So now, when they present you the contract, they go, ‘Well, you haven’t been on TV in two months.’ Yeah, but I was two and half years prior to this. So, they lowball you. Like, it’s a business. I get it, it is what it is. It’s the nature of the beast.”

Kelly Osbourne Responds to “Disrespectful” Mention of Her Late Father Ozzy on 8/25 WWE RAW Show
Monday’s WWE RAW show in Birmingham, England featured a promo segment between WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella to setup their match at WWE’s Clash in Paris event. This promo segment was notable for Lynch referencing heavy metal legend and WWE Hall of Famer Ozzy Osbourne saying “The only good thing to come out of Birmingham died a month ago! But in fairness to Ozzy Osbourne, he had the good sense to move to LA — a proper city. Because if I lived in Birmingham, I’d die too.”
Osbourne’s daughter Kelly responded on Instagram to her late father’s name being used in a disrespectful manner by Lynch and WWE.
“You are a disrespectful dirtbag! Birmingham would not piss on you if you were on fire. #birminghamforever shame on the WWE for allowing such things to be said about my father and his home!!!”

Shawn Michaels Comments On NXT Is Best “Two-Hour Wrestling Program” on TV
The Undisputed held a recent interview with WWE SVP of NXT and Talent Relations and head NXT booker Shawn Michaels. One of the topics discussed included Michaels thoughts about his belief that WWE’s NXT show is the best two-hour wrestling program on television.
“I’d be lying if I didn’t think we have the best two-hour show on television. The most exciting.
The partnership with The CW is huge. They’ve been fantastic. We’ve had collaborations like NOAH, TNA, and AAA, but all our success comes down to the athletes that walk through the doors of the Performance Center every day in Orlando. It’s a testament to all the work that our coaches and our creative team and the entire production team in NXT.”
