AJ Mana Says He Was Fired from His Day Job Over His Involvement with Raja Jackson’s Attack Incident at 8/23 Knokx Pro Event
As noted before, Raja Jackson, son of former UFC fighter Quintin “Rampage” Jackson, was involved in an incident over him legit assaulting a pro wrestler named Syko Stu, real name Stuart Smith, at an event for KnokX Pro Wrestling this past Saturday.
A recent episode of the F’Yall Podcast with C.T. Fletcher featured Knokx pro talent AJ Mana as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Mana revealing that he has been fired from his regular day job over his involvement in Jackson’s attack incident.
“For those that are offended at the fact that I just told the truth, f**k you, because now my f**king life is ruined over your lies. So f**k you…I got a call from my f**king job, ‘We saw the TMZ video. You’re an accessory to an attempted murder. We gotta let you go.’ I can’t wrestle anymore.”
Prior to his firing, Mana had been caught on camera telling Jackson that he should get a “receipt” on Stu over a beer can incident earlier in the show that involved Stu tossing the can at Jackson’s head and apologizing for it afterwards.

In a recent interview with the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, former WWE referee Mike Chioda gave his thoughts about him being “pretty much” retired from wrestling but he is open to working a match “here or there.” Chioda stated “Pretty much, yeah. I mean, if there’s a match or two, or something like that, I’ll do here and there. Ric Flair’s Last Match I did, I had done a match in the Jersey Shore for Fight Factory and for New Jersey. So it was nice to get down there, and those guys are great at Fight Factory. So it’s really pick and choose, but I’m doing seminars, training refs in Orlando, doing a bunch of and signings and stuff. And the podcast, yeah, Monday Mailbag with Mike Chioda, with Conrad Thompson, on ad-free shows. They’ve been great to me for four and a half years, five years almost.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
In a recent interview with NJPW’s NJPW1972 website, Konosuke Takeshita gave his thoughts about his match against EVIL in the Finals of this year’s G1 Climax tournament. Takeshita stated “I think when it comes to being the worst, he’s the best. I really think he’s one of the best opponents I’ve ever had. And he’s tough, you know? He has to be. He really is the best at being the worst. What we do in the ring is completely different, but I think we both have a strong idea of what we want to show the people. We both have something clear in mind that we use wrestling to get across, and I think in that regard, I might be closer in wavelength to EVIL than anyone in NJPW.” Takeshita also gave his thoughts about the crowd cheering for EVIL during the match despite him being the bad guy. Takeshita stated “No, I expected that (crowd to cheer for EVIL in G1 Final). If I was a fan in the same situation, I would want EVIL to win, I think. So I figured I had an uphill climb in front of me and it was all about spirit on my part. I was hurt from the day before with Zack (Sabre Jr.) as well, so it was really about giving it all the spirit I had and getting through, come what may. And EVIL really responded in kind.“
