As noted before, a man named Shawn Chan was arrested this past June outside of WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida over charges of him being an alleged stalker of Liv Morgan. Chan was issued federal charges related to a stalking incident at Morgan’s home, which Morgan was away from at the time.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Chan had filed a motion on August 20th asking the court to reconsider that he is being held without bail through the trial. Johnson reported that Chan’s filing stated that his attorneys have secured a salvation army location that Chan can reside in until the trial takes place.
Johnson reported that the court has yet to rule on Chan’s motion and he currently remains incarcerated in Hernando County, Florida.
Chan reportedly also had recently signed a Waiver of Speedy Trial in order to “allow adequate time to conduct a psychiatric evaluation of the defendant.”
Johnson reported that Chan is currently expected to stand trial in November and court records revealed that the prosecutors currently expect that the trial will only last a few days.
Chan has been charged with one federal count of interstate domestic violence and currently faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
