Lucha Libre AAA talent Octagon Jr. suffered an apparent injury at AAA’s Alianzas tapings on Sunday in San Pedro Garza García, Mexico, according to Rob Viper.
Octagon Jr. had teamed up with Laredo Kid in a Triple Threat match for the AAA World Tag Team Championship against Los Garza (Angel & Berto) and Pagano & Psycho Clown. During the match Octagon Jr. was involved in a spot with Pagano that resulted in him suffering an injury and being stretched out from ringside.
Viper reported that Octagon Jr. is currently believed to have suffered a potential concussion injury.
“Over on the WWE Mexico show Octagon Jr looked to have gotten concussed at the end of his match. The culprit is of course Pagano. Not the first time, won’t be the last. Didn’t get an update but Octagon Jr didn’t leave under his own power.”
Octagon Jr.’s status for this week’s WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event on September 12th in Las Vegas, Nevada is currently not known. Octagon Jr.s is currently scheduled to compete in an Eight-Man Lucha Showcase tag team match at the event.
