Pre-show Arrivals

Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins were shown arriving at the arena in Milwaukee. Lynch was without her Intercontinental title belt after AJ Lee retrieved it.

Ringside: Joe Tessitore, Corey Graves

Tonight’s announcers are Joe Tessitore and Corey Graves. They said Wade Barrett was on vacation. Graves joked that the internet said Barrett was exiled.

In-Ring: The Usos, Bron Breakker, “Big” Bronson Reed, LA Knight

Jey and Jimmy Uso entered together through the crowd to Jey’s music. The fans asked them to run it back as usual, so they did.

Jey spoke briefly about Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed before they quickly interrupted. Breakker told Jimmy (a SmackDown wrestler) he must be lost because the Vision ran Raw. Breakker got flustered in his promo, so he suddenly snapped like he wanted to hit the ring, but Reed held him back.

All Reed wanted was for Roman Reigns’ family to acknowledge their Tribal Thief. (The crowd sang for Reigns.) Reed said they dealt with Reigns already, and Jimmy would be next.

Jimmy told him to watch his mouth. Jimmy made some crack comparing them to J&J Security. The Usos also made quips about Paul Heyman, calling him an orca (instead of an oracle, because he looks like a whale) and quoted Hangman Page Reigns by calling him a dumbass.

The Usos challenged them to a tag match and were ready to do it right now. Reed said they can wait until Wrestlepalooza.

They were suddenly interrupted by LA Knight, who attacked the Brons from behind. The Usos helped him out, but some miscommunication between Knight and Jey led to Jey getting squashed by Reed in the corner. Jimmy got rid of Reed with a superkick. Jey and Knight argued as the segment ended.

Backstage: LA Knight

After a break, Knight said he didn’t care about The Usos’ reunion or their match at Wrestlepalooza. If Jey Uso had a problem with him, they could deal with it face-to-face. Knight wanted one of the Brons in a match tonight. It could be Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, LeBron James, Little Bronny, or Charles Bronson. He just wanted to beat the piss out of someone named Bron.

The referee calls for the bell to start the match. Styles hits Americano with a forearm plancha. Styles chops away at Americano’s chest and puts him back into the ring. Styles forearms Americano back. Americano grabs the referee, feigning an injury, and a second El Grande Americano grabs Styles’ ankles. Americano I knocks Styles off the apron and drives him hard into the ring steps.

Back from the break, Americano I hits Styles with a dropkick for a two-count. Americano I applies a cobra clutch. Styles fights up and drives him into the corner. Americano I quickly boots him and goes for a tornado DDT, but Styles counters with an exploder into the turnbuckles. Americano II slaps the mat to try to will Americano I on.

Americano I slides off and elbows him. Styles comes back with a torture rack bomb for a near fall. Americano I soon fights back and hits a flapjack into the top turnbuckle. Styles sets up for a Styles Clash, but Americano II gets on the apron. Dragon Lee runs down and attacks Americano II before hitting a diving hurricanrana off the apron!

Winner: AJ Styles via Pinfall.

Rodriguez applies a modified torture rack before driving her into the top turnbuckle. Rodriguez clubs her before attempting a superplex. Valkyria fights out and goes for a sunset flip powerbomb. Jimmy says Jey isn’t sounding like himself. He’s sounding like Roman Reigns. Jey says sounding like himself might not be worth it. Jey picks up his bag and leaves the arena.

In-Ring: AJ Lee, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, CM Punk

AJ Lee comes out to a massive reaction… and she’s wearing Becky Lynch’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The crowd chants, “Welcome back.” Lee thanks them. Lee says for those who weren’t here ten years ago, and why their millennial parents were excited on Friday, she wants to introduce herself. Her name is AJ Lee, and she is your favorite wrestler’s favorite wrestler.

An “AJ Lee” chant fires up. Ten years ago, she retired. She felt like she had accomplished all of her dreams in wrestling. She was content and hung up her Chuck Taylors. She thought it was the end of her story. She’d never enter the ring wearing jean shorts that were two sizes too small. So, she went on a journey to accomplish all these crazy dreams she had in life. She did it. Most importantly, she went on a mental health journey. She wasn’t healthy. She took care of herself and got it right. Lee went to therapy and got treatment. A “therapy” chant picks up! Lee says she found a way to turn the mental chaos into a superpower. The fight isn’t easy. If you’re going through the same thing, the fight is worth it. YOU are worth it.

Lee says she was doing really good for a long time. Then she watched Monday Night Raw. Healing isn’t linear. It’s one thing to see your husband fighting Drew McIntyre, John Cena, or Seth Rollins. It’s another thing entirely to see him in the ring with Becky Lynch. She wanted to like Becky. Lynch is a leader and a rebel, as well as a New York Times Bestselling Author, like she is. Lee says she did it first. There is a world in which they could have been friends. Then she went and motor boated her husband. She put her hands on him, berated him, and defamed him.

“The Man” Becky Lynch heads to the ring. Lynch is dressed in red and wearing some extra sunglasses. Lee happily waves at her. The crowd loudly boos Lynch. Lynch says this has nothing to do with her “stank ass” husband. Lynch asks if everyone is insane. Has nobody noticed? Are they stupid? Of course they are. They’re in Milwaukee. AJ Lee is wearing her title. That is her title, the most important in the division. They are nothing alike because Lynch is the greatest female wrestler of all time. You can boo her all you like, but other people say it, including Sports Illustrated. A “You suck” chant picks up. Lynch is not happy and says she’ll need to go to therapy after this. Lee doesn’t deserve to put a finger on her title. Another “therapy” chant picks up.

Lee says this is so embarrassing because she forgot she was wearing the title. She’s been skipping around the house all weekend with it on. Lynch tells her to cut the crap. Lynch takes off her sunglasses and reveals a nasty black eye. Lee says she’s sporting quite the shiner. Was that something Lee did to her? Lee apologizes for doing that. Lee sarcastically says that since Lynch is the greatest of all time, she should come into the ring and take it. Lee lays it on the mat. Lynch starts heading to get into the ring, but she stops herself. A “chicken” chant picks up. Lynch says she is not a chicken. Lynch calls Lee a “Jersey trashbag weirdo.” Lynch wants her title. She has to bathe in bleach after touching her greasy husband. A “CM Punk” chant picks up. Lynch asks what kind of man hides behind his wife. Lee didn’t need to stick her neck into their Vision. Lynch calls for her “hot husband” to come out.

“BURN IT DOWN!”

World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins comes out to the stage. Lynch aggressively talks with him. Rollins says he’ll handle it. Rollins screams at the crowd to quiet down. This is very simple. They can make this super easy. Rollins tells Lee to give Lynch her Intercontinental Championship back, and they can all leave this dump of a city as soon as possible. Lee sarcastically says that it is a really good idea. She has a better idea. Lynch can come into the ring and take the title back, but she’ll risk getting another black eye. Or she can give her the title… if they agree to a tag match. AJ Lee and CM Punk versus Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins.

Rollins gives his title to Lynch as well as his sunglasses. A “CM Punk” chant picks up. Rollins says he knows she’s been gone for ten years, but that’s not how things work. Rollins is the World Heavyweight Champion. This is his show. These are his people. She doesn’t call the shots. Rollins calls the shots. He’ll come into the ring, take the title, give it back to his incredible wife, and that’ll be the end of it. Lee thanks him for “mansplaining.” Rollins gets in the ring, and Lee stands in his way. Rollins goes to get around her, but she continues to get in his way. Rollins is getting upset and warns her to listen. That title doesn’t belong to her. That is his title.

CM Punk walks up behind Lynch and walks by her. Punk gets in the ring and turns Rollins around for a Go to Sleep, but Rollins immediately escapes. A LOUD “CM Punk” chant picks up. Rollins is furious and accepts the match for Wrestlepalooza. They’re both done for. Lee picks up the Intercontinental Championship, kisses it, and throws it at Lynch’s feet. Punk and Lee embrace in the ring.
