AEW All Out 2025 Post-Show Media Scrum: Ricochet on “Ahaa” Laugh Origin, Kris Statlander on AEW Women’s World Title Victory, Hangman Page on WWE Counterprogramming AEW Events, Attendance & HBO MAX PPV Buys, Interest in AEW PPV Events Early Start Times Being Permanent, AEW Blood & Guts Status

AEW held a media scrum following Saturday’s All Out 2025 event at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Some of the notable highlights included:

  • During their portion of the media scrum, The Demand (Ricochet, Toa Liona, & Bishop Kaun) gave their thoughts about their Trios victory over The Hurt Syndicate. Ricochet stated that they have their sights on the AEW Trios Championship for their current goal.
  • On the topic of his “Ahaa!” laugh, Ricochet stated that it was not inspired from Jadakiss but instead something he took from a family member who did a similar noise.
  • During her portion of the media scrum, AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander gave her thoughts about her championship victory. Statlander stated “It’s been a very up-and-down journey for me. I feel like there were so many opportunities where maybe I had the chance to be the first early on, but I was derailed by my knee injury. I thought, ‘Oh, maybe I’ll come back and be the first person to do this.’ Then, I get injured and time passes by, and other people step up and take that position. It’s very much been, not hurtful, but disheartening, having to be like, ‘Something out of my control stopped me from having that historic moment.’ To now finally have something to my name, ‘I’m the first ever to do this’ it makes all those injuries, all those hard times, all the ups and downs so worth it. I worked unbelievably hard to be in this position that I’m in today. To have that title means more than I could imagine. Wrestling is insane.
  • On the topic of her exchange with Wheeler Yuta before her AEW Women’s World Championship Four-way match, Statlander stated “I didn’t say anything to him besides ‘Please get the F away from me.’ I have never invited him to any of my endeavors post-Best Friends related things.
  • In response to AEW CEO Tony Khan bringing up how she won using Wheeler Yuta’s Seatbelt fishier pin move, Statlander responded stating “Well, Tony, he’s not the only one that has used the seatbelt pin. There have been some greats before him, like Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor, who have also maybe used that as a more signature thing. So maybe it was seeing his face reminded me about those things and it’s not exactly Yuta that I’m emulating.
  • On the topic of a potential first opponent for her title reign, Statlander stated that she would like to face off against “Timeless” Toni Storm since she never had a singles match against her before.
  • On the topic of her potentially joining The Conglomeration, Statlander made no promises and stated Harley Cameron has been the only one believing in her recently. Statlander also stated that her past mistakes might make some on the roster not want to associate with her.
  • During their portion of the media scrum, AEW World Tag Team Champions Brodido (Brody King & Bandido) gave their thoughts about the ladder match for their titles and how it felt like a lot of pain for them. King stated that he regrets doing a Dante’s Inferno onto a ladder “but the gif looks cool.
  • On the topic of a potential singles title, King stated he’s up for a challenge and has no love lost with Kyle Fletcher but he is satisfied with his current success as a tag wrestler.
  • King also praised Bandido stating yhat he has never had a tag partner who loves wrestling as much as Bandido does and “he makes me want to go a step further with everything.
  • King also gave his thoughts about his “Abolish ICE” shirt he wore at Grand Slam Mexico and AEW stars being allowed to wear messages on shirts, King stated he would not wear anything that would damage the reputation of the company or Tony Khan. Khan responded stating he supported wrestlers being themselves. Khan also stated that the messages they wear don’t necessarily represent AEW.
  • During his portion of the media scrum, AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page gave his thoughts about his past comments about Kyle Fletcher not being ready for world title-level fights. Page stated “He was more ready than I anticipated. There was a point where he hit a brainbuster on me and I managed to kick out. But, I lost, for a minute, lost strength, lost feeling in the right [hand]. I’m throwing clotheslines at him. I’m frustrated because my brain is doing it, but nothing is happening. It won’t go. And he lingered on that too long, he relished on that too long instead of just trying to capitalize. He pulled the turnbuckle pad off, tried to set me up top and do it on that. He made a mistake. That’s what I meant when I said he’s not ready. You need to keep your composure, and he couldn’t tonight.
  • On the topic of the backstage vibe with AEW talent and WWE’s counterprogramming efforts against AEW event, Page stated “It’s been a very up-and-down journey for me.
  • During his portion of the media scrum, AEW CEO Tony Khan gave his thoughts about the decision to have Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. FTR. Khan stated he wanted to start the show strong and having a big bout as the opener helped, especially considering the event’s early start time.
  • On the topic of All Out 2025’s attendance, Khan stated “It’s the most tickets we’ve ever sold for All Out. It’s the most tickets we’ve sold in Canada. It’s going to be one of our biggest pay-per-views ever.
  • On the topic of the early PPV buys numbers from HBO MAX for All Out 2025, Khan stated “Just hearing the early preliminary feedback, I think it’s a huge success. AEW is delivering great numbers on pay-per-view.
  • On the topic of the potential of AEW moving their pay-per-view events to afternoon start times as a permanent move, Khan stated “It’s definitely something to think about, especially on Saturdays with the way the schedule works and what we’re doing. I do think there is something to it. It’d be something to consider on some of the Sundays. It’s been tremendous for three straight pay-per-views. It’s something I would take into consideration. It’s the third straight pay-per-view with an early start time on the East Coast and in the prime time in the UK, and we’ve had great results in the UK. That’s a huge consideration to us, and that’s a big part of it. Whether it’s Saturday or Sunday, it’s something to think about.
  • On the topic of Chris Jericho and Britt Baker’s potential return statuses, Khan did not provide a detailed answer beyond saying he’s “keeping the door open” for returns.
  • On the topic of HBO MAX viewership for AEW shows, Khan stated again that he does not have access to those numbers.
  • Khan also stated that the President of TNT and TBS was in attendance in the crowd and brought up the pressure that comes with that but he felt everyone knocked it out of the park with their performances on the show.
  • On the topic of the status for a Blood & Guts match this year, Khan stated that there is a great potential of Blood & Guts becoming its own PPV event and told fans to stay tuned in regards to it.
  • On the topic of potentially renaming the AEW World Championship as the AEW Men’s World Championship in the future, Khan stated “It’s gotten great traction, I think it’s something to consider. For the official record-keeping, it’s still as it has been. But I do think for Hangman, for his graphics, for describing what it is, it’s something that’s important to him … If that’s how he wants the title presented, that’s something I support and believe in.
  • On the topic of the potential of bringing back AEW Dark, Khan stated that he has interest in bringing back AEW Dark and understands the appetite for having a weekly show on YouTube. Khan also stated that the logistics of adding another show to a schedule that already includes Dynamite, Collision, and ROH tapings isn’t necessarily easy.
  • On the topic of Ring of Honor, Khan stated that he will get his money back from Brightcove for the technical errors that plagued the broadcast of Death Before Dishonor on HonorClub.
