Jey Uso, Piper Niven, and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton all have been dealing with injury-related issues of late. Uso suffered a head-related injury at this past Saturday’s WWE Wrestlepalooza event and was placed in concussion protocol, Niven has been out of action since this past August due to a undisclosed injury, and Stratton had been pulled from last week’s NXT Homecoming show due to her not being medically cleared to compete. Stratton is currently scheduled to compete at this Friday’s WWE SmackDown show.
Uso provided an update on Sunday on Instagram stating that “I’m good” with a blood drip emoji.
Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that his sources provided injury updates for Uso, Stratton, and Niven.
In regards to Uso, Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that Uso is currently feeling fine. Alvarez also reported that this likely means that Uso has been medically cleared to compete.
In regards to Stratton, Alvarez reported that the WWE Women’s Championship Triple Threat match between Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, and Stratton was originally planned to be on WWE’s Wrestlepalooza show.
Alvarez also reported that while WWE is currently claiming she was never hurt and Nick Khan publicly stating that the match was pulled from Wrestlepalooza due to they ran out of time, those spoken stated that Stratton was legitimately hurt and not medically cleared to compete for the show.
In regards to Niven, Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that the current concern within WWE is that Niven’s injury could be a career ending type injury. No other details were given regarding the nature of Niven’s injury.
