AEW: Orange Cassidy on Working for Tony Khan & “It’s Nice to Have Your Boss Understand What You’re Doing”, Adam Copeland Joins Cast of Beekeeper 2 Film, Rumor Killer on La Catalina Signing Dual AEW/CMLL Contract

Orange Cassidy Comments on Working for Tony Khan & “It’s Nice to Have Your Boss Understand What You’re Doing”

The Sportster held a recent interview with Orange Cassidy. One of the topics discussed included Cassidy’s thoughts about his praise of AEW CEO Tony Khan for his success and allowing him to present his vision of the Orange Cassidy character in AEW. Cassidy also gave his praise to wrestling fans for believing in him even before AEW started.

“I think it’s really the fans’ fault because they were very open and receptive before AEW, before Tony Khan really knew who I was, and they were reacting. I think it allowed them to be like, ‘All right, well, if they’re reacting, he must know something that we don’t.’ I was very lucky that the fans were reacting to what I was doing.

He still works very close to me about what I’m doing. It’s nice to have your boss understand what you’re doing and facilitate it. I could have got pigeonholed somewhere else. It could have been the same thing we see all the other times, but I think he allowed me to do this stuff because he also knew that I wanted to wrestle, too. That was nice.”

Cassidy also gave his thoughts about him being grateful for his spot in AEW history.

“I’m just very grateful to be a part of AEW and to be a part of the history. I do like that when you think of AEW, you have to at least think of me, and that feels very special.”

Adam Copeland Joins Cast of Beekeeper 2 Film

As noted before, Adam Copeland is currently away from AEW for filming commitments for the upcoming final season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians for Disney+.

Variety reported that Copeland recently joined the cast for the production of an upcoming new Beekeeper 2 film.

It was reported that Copeland’s character and plot details for this upcoming new film are currently being kept under wraps.

It was also reported that this upcoming film will feature Jason Statham reprising his role from the first film and is being directed by Timo Tjahjanto.

Rumor Killer on La Catalina Signing Dual AEW/CMLL Contract

Lucha Blog reported that the recent online rumors of CMLL talent La Catalina being signed to a dual contract with CMLL and AEW are not true.

It was reported that the rumors are completely made up and none of those spreading the rumors do not link nor mention any actual sources for it.

In a follow-up tweet, Lucha Blog reported that no media in the United States have actually reported La Catalina being signed to any sort of dual contract.

The origin of the rumors is believed to be from a now deleted tweet someone made claiming that La Catalina had signed a dual contract following her appearance in a recent episode of the AEW All Elite Show in Mexico.
