Friday’s CMLL Super Viernes show at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured Mercedes Mone defeating Persephone to retain her CMLL Women’s World Championship.
Following the match, Mone grabbed a microphone and gave a promo issuing an open challenge match for her AEW TBS Championship to any champion at Saturday’s AEW WrestleDream 2025 event.
Mone also called out anyone from the back to challenge her for the CMLL Women’s World Championship. This led to Olympia coming out to accept and Mone stating that this match would take place in the United States.
This must be considered the one of the best Persephone matches in her #CMLL career, La Diosa literally smashed Mercedes Moné with some painful combinations but today’s plan wasn’t for her to dethrone Moné who successfully retained #ViernesEspectacularCMLL pic.twitter.com/wDqmqTi4Vx
