As noted before, Swerve Strickland is currently out of action for AEW due to a torn meniscus injury and surgery.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources close to Strickland stated that they have an optimistic hope that Strickland could be able to return by this winter.
Sapp reported that those spoken to stated that Strickland could make a potential return as early as this December baring any setbacks on his recovery. Sapp also reported that nothing has been set in stone yet by AEW for Strickland timetable for his return from injury.
Sapp also reported that Strickland was originally going to take time off after this past July’s All In Texas event but he opted to wait until this past August’s Forbidden Door 2025 event instead.
