Kyle O’Reilly Comments on Him “Kind of Getting His Stride Again” After 2022 Neck Fusion Surgery
A recent episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast featured Kyle O’Reilly as the guest. One of the topics discussed included O’Reilly’s thoughts about him feeling that he is starting to get his stride again in the ring following his neck fusion surgery in 2022.
“It’s funny you mention that and talk about a full-circle moment because the last match that I had, before being injured for two years, was with Jon Moxley… Yeah, it was in Kansas City. It was with Jon Moxley — my most recent match now — so yeah, I feel like I actually have finally kind of reached as close as back to normal as possible. Does that make sense? Because the first few months of just getting back in the ring — and I’ve been wrestling back over a year now again. I think it’s been coming up on almost two years since I’ve been back wrestling, and I feel like I’m just kind of getting my stride again, and as wrestlers, we’re always pursuing the best versions of ourselves and it’s always gonna be a work in progress but I feel like I’m kind of getting closer to how I felt pre-injury.”
