Legendary NWA and wrestling announcer Bob Caudle passed away at the age of 95.
Caudle’s passing was first announced by his son Mike and shared by Mid-Atlantic Gateway, who stated that he had passed away in his sleep overnight.
It is with a very sad heart that I report that Bob Caudle has passed away. He was 95 years old. His son Mike wrote this morning that Bob passed away peacefully in his sleep overnight. Our thoughts, prayers, and love go out to his family. More information will be forthcoming.

Caudle’s wrestling broadcasting career spanned from the late 1950s to 1995 and afterwards made several appearances at NWA indies events and reunions.
Caudle was most known for his time in the National Wrestling Alliance and for his signature catchphrases of “Hello wrestling fans” for show introductions and “That’ll do it for this week… so long for now” for show sign-offs.
Within the NWA, Caudle had notable stints in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions, and World Championship Wrestling. Caudle also had a notable stint working for Smokey Mountain Wrestling as its lead announcer from 1991 to 1995.
Caudle also made an appearance at JCP’s Ric Flair’s Last Match event in 2022 in pre-recorded segments giving his signature intro and sign-off catchphrases for the show.
