Backstage, the medical trainer checks on Danhausen and his minihausens as Adam Pearce steps in to tell Danhausen to give Dom back his money. Danhausen refuses, before getting a brilliant idea, telling Pearce to put the “human monies on the pole.” This confuses Pearce at first, with Danhausen asking the GM “haven’t you ever watched wrestling?”

Pearce finally relents to make that match official as Raw rolls on.

In-Ring: Triple H, Adam Pearce, Oba Femi, Brock Lesnar

We get a shot of the Dome before going to ringside, where the Hell in a Cell structure looms over the ring. Inside the ring are Triple H and Adam Pearce, and that menacing theme plays as the structure lowers over the ring for the official weigh-in ahead of Brock Lesnar facing Oba Femi at SummerSlam.

We get a shot of each man in very different parts of the arena backstage before Oba makes his entrance first, the crowd chanting and strutting along with DA RULA as he heads down the ramp. He enters the structure and the ring, where Pearce talks him up before asking him to step onto the scale. Femi obliges, and we get the official weight for Oba Femi at 302 pounds. He steps off and moves aside as Pearce introduces his opponent for SummerSlam…Brock Lesnar!

It should be noted the small detail of “police” (or indy guys, I’m not sure which) in the ring, which increases as Lesnar makes his way toward the Cell. Instead of entering, however, Brock grabs the lock and chain and locks the door! Oba leaves the ring to confront the Beast, who mocks him as he takes the key away. Paul Heyman talks about there being a change of plans, as having Brock Lesnar step into Hell in a Cell is a bad idea. He hypes up Lesnar’s past as a cage fighter and general a– kicker, telling Oba that with all due respect…only for his mic to start cutting out, something Paul acknowledges as he tries to tell Femi that for all the beating he can do, he is stepping up against the Beast of the Brocktagon.

He reminds us that Lesnar broke the Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania win streak, and claiming that Oba cannot beat Brock Lesnar. He then tells us that Brock got on a scale backstage, and he is weighing in at 303 pounds. Crowd boos this as Oba shouts at Brock that he can do the weigh-in right here. Lesnar says he’ll see Femi at SummerSlam before walking away, only for Oba to tell him that Hell in a Cell is coming for him this Saturday…and that Oba isn’t locked in the Cell with Brock, but Brock is locked in the Cell with Femi!

Brock steps back up to him, saying that’s what he loves before flipping the Ruler off. Lesnar walks away and an angry Oba starts beating up the officers in the ring before posing to close the segment.

Video: Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins

We cut to a video package looking at the history between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, focused on when Rollins made his way out wearing the Shield vest for their match at Royal Rumble 2022. Later tonight they will have a Face-to-Face ahead of their match for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam!

Parking Lot: The Bloodline

Backstage, we see Roman and his Bloodline once again blatantly missing call time as they pull up in the parking lot. They get to walking as we head back to ringside for our opening contest, with The Vision making their entrance before we go to commercial break.

The Vision (Austin Theory & Bron Breakker) vs. Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa & Otis)

We start off with Otis and Theory, the latter deciding against facing the big man as he quicky tags in Breakker. They square off and Bron absorbs a shoulder tackle. He hits the ropes but Otis manages to take him down this time, and a tag is made to Tozawa. He takes Breakker to the corner, only for Bron to send him to the Vision corner and tag in Theory.

Austin lands some shots before sending Akira across the ring. He runs out of the ring with Tozawa chasing him, only to be held back by Maxxine as he tries to get back into the ring. This allows for a cheap shot by Breakker before Theory boots him to the announce table as we go to commercial break.

Back in the ring, Breakker is stomping away at Tozawa before hoisting him up for a military press…and dropping him onto his knees! Akiara retreats to the corner as Bron looks for a spear…only to crash into the ring post as Tozawa dodges at the last second! Otis has returned to the apron from the floor as Theory tags in, and this allows him to tag in as he goes off on Austin.

Breakker comes in with another tag, but gets sent to the corner by Otis, who hits a splash on both men before sending Breakker into Theory…and then sandwiching them both at once with another splash! This gives Otis an opening for the Catepillar on Breakker as Akira builds up speed for a dive on Theory! Akira with a tag as he looks to get the jump on Breakker…but Theory comes back in, sending Otis out of the ring before holding Akira for a big Double Vision spear by Breakker for the win.

Winner: The Vision via Pinfall.

No time for celebration as they continue to beat Tozawa down. Otis comes in for the save, but as he looks for a moonsault(?) from the turnbuckle Maxxine jumps onto the apron. This distracts Otis long enough for Theory and Breakker to retaliate, and end up hitting Otis with the Double Vision. Officials come rushing out to break this up, and The Vision retreats up the ramp…until Theory grabs a chair and slams it against the arm of Otis draped around the ring post! They finally back off as we head backstage.

Backstage: LA Knight

We hear from LA Knight, who talks about his trip to the Intuit Dome today. He also addresses the comments made about him being paranoid, because why wouldn’t he be? The way things have been going, it’s less paranoia and more informed knowledge. He said that once the Bloodline got back together there’d be trouble, but he is ready for Saturday and SummerSlam because Saturday night’s alright for fightin’ and that’s just what they’re gonna do. YEAH!

We go to a vignette with some words from Sol Ruca and Raquel Rodriguez, ahead of their match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship later tonight on Raw.

We also see them backstage, getting ready for said match before we go to commercial break.

Video: Chad Gable

We get a look at some celebrities in the crowd followed by photos of Chad Gable visiting his hometown Minneapolis ahead of SummerSlam, when he faces Penta for the Intercontinental Championship. From there we go to a video package highlighting Chad’s journey, digging back to his pursuit of the title a couple years ago and subsequent journey to the “dark side” that led to the El Grande Americano arc. We take another look back at the Mask vs. Mask match that brought him back around, and he says he now knows WHY he needs that title. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, ready to represent his family and the entire state of Minnesota the same way he did at the Olympics.

We cut to another video package (because that’s the type of show tonight is), this one focused on Iyo Sky telling Liv Morgan she is ready to take the Women’s World Championship away from her at SummerSlam. She calls the champ arrogant, and that she thinks Liv talks so much because she’s scared she will lose.

Je’Von Evans vs. Rusev

Rusev gets the early advantage, throwing Evans around before sending him to the mat hard. Evans fights back from the ropes, landing a thrust kick from the corner followed by a dropkick sending him across the ring. The boy gets bouncy as he sends Rusev out of the ring with a headscissors, but ends up running into an uppercut by the Bulgarian Brute.

Rusev continues to wear Je’Von down before tossing him out of the ring with a fallaway slam, following close behind to pick Evans up…but Je’Von sends him running into the ring post, and kicks him into the timekeeper area. He runs around the ring for a cross body, but Rusev catches him in mid-air before tossing him into the timekeeper area instead. He heads to the ring to break the ref’s count, but as he comes back out Evans leaps out at him! He tells the camera we’ll be right back, and sure enough we go to…picture-in-picture? On Raw!?

Picture-in-Picture: Don’t get too excited though, because Rusev uses most of this time to regain control of the match as he throws Evans around once they’re back in the ring. To his credit, Evans starts to fight back with some kicks before Rusev wears him down again. He cinches in a chinlock as we come back from break.

Rusev taunts his opponent with some light boots. Evans gets back to his feet but takes a hard right hand by the Bulgarian Brute. Je’Von is back up and tries to trade strikes with Rusev, only to be knocked back down. Like that one Chumbawumba song, though, Evans gets back up again…and he fires off a flurry of punches sending Rusev to the corner! Rusev powers his way against Je’Von, who responds with a Red Dot.

Rusev rolls out of the ring for a breather, and this allows Evans to hit a dive on him…only for Rusev to send Evans back into the ring, where he looks for an Accolade! Je’Von crawls to the ropes for a break but is pulled back to the center by Rusev. He manages to break free by kicking his way out, but an OG Cutter gets caught by Rusev who locks in the Accolade.

Evans tries his best to fight out of it, slowly muscling his way toward the ropes to force the break. Rusev backs off, telling Evans to get up as he looks for a Matcha Kick. Evans dodges it Matrix style and lands a Stunner…and follows up with the OG Cutter for the win!

Winner: Je’Von Evans via Pinfall.

Video: Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns

We go to the next chapter of the history between Roman and Rollins, focusing on their issues during the main event of WrestleMania 40. Commentary hypes up the match at SummerSlam and the Face-to-Face we will see between them later tonight!

In-Ring: Joe Hendry, Danhausen, Judgement Day

We head to ringside where a strum of the guitar makes me think Elias/Elijah is here…but no, it’s Joe Hendry along with Danhausen. Which means it’s time for…

Joe starts off singing about Judgment Day and JD McDonagh in particular, with Danhausen joining in. Look, how much of this do you think I can really recap? The Minihausens are also here. The chorus goes “I believe that you are cursed.” I’ll link the segment below as soon as I can, that’s the best I can do for ya. Some things you just have to experience for yourself. Ryan Garcia of the LA Clippers also gets involved, it’s a lot of fun and laughs…until Garcia cracks the guitar over Hendry’s back!

Judgement Day come rushing in as Dom and JD beat up Hendry and Danhausen. They also fend off the defensehausen of the Minihausens, before turning their attention to Danhausen for a frog splash by Dom. They roll him out of the ring before standing tall, with JD destroying the pipe organ gimmick

Video: Penta

We go to a video package featuring words from Penta, who says that forgiving Gable for what he did does not erase the past. He knows Gable won over the people in Mexico with that big Mask vs. Mask match, but Penta will do everything he can to retain the title not out of revenge but simply to prove that he deserves to be the champion. He will see Chad at SummerSlam because he is Penta, and he has zero fear!

Rey Mysterio vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page

Page gets the early advantage as he beats the Hall of Famer down, but Mysterio turns it around as he starts to gain momentum…only for Page to send him crashing into the corner with a hammer throw! He mocks Rey, telling him he should’ve enjoyed his vacation before going to work on Mysterio’s back. Rey counters out, sending Page over the top rope to the outside…but Page holds onto him, turning it into a powerbomb onto the apron! Rey falls to the floor as we go to commercial.

Both men are back in the ring now, and Page is going after the mask of Mysterio before he gets knocked back to the mat. Rey lands a moonsault, but favors his ribs as he tries to get back up. Both men are on their feet again as Ethan sends Mysterio to the ropes…only for Rey to fight back, setting him up for a 619!

Or maybe not, brother, because Page catches him with a big boot. Rey crawls to the corner as Ethan looks to continue the attack, only to be sent into the ring post with a headscissors by the former World Champion. This gives Rey an opening as he fires off some shots, and even counters a tilt-a-whirl into a hurricanrana sending Page to the corner. He mounts up on All Ego for some punches, showing some love to Eddie Guerrero as Page escapes to the opposite side…only to take a seated senton by Mysterio.

He counters a springboard attack by Mysterio for a powerslam, but Ethan only gets a two count. Rey follows up with a DDT counter, but this only gets him a nearfall. Mysterio climbs the turnbuckle but takes a boot by Page, who looks for a superplex as Rey tries to fight out of it. Headbutt sends Ethan to the apron and then the floor…and Rey catches him with a diving headscissors sending All Ego into the announce table!

He brings Page back into the ring, setting him up for the 619…but Page blocks it by pulling the ring apron up! He sends Rey into the ring post and then back into the ring for an Egoplex for the win.

Winner: “All Ego” Ethan Page via Pinfall.

We go to a video package featuring Liv Morgan’s response to IYO SKY. She acknowledges what SKY has done in this company, but says that she’s wrong about the champion. She’s much stronger than IYO thinks she is, thanking her challenger for the chance to prove she’s the greatest women’s champion of all time.

In-Ring: The Usos, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight

Back at ringside, The Usos have finished their entrance but the crowd wants to run it back. The former tag champions oblige this briefly before getting down to business. They have a message for everyone wanting to step up to the Bloodline, including the men who wanna face them at SummerSlam. He tells LA Knight, Royce Keys, and Solo Sikoa this is their warning shot. POW!

This gets repeated by a voice from somewhere else, before we see Solo Sikoa in the crowd mocking them. He says this started when The Usos ran back to Roman Reigns. This isn’t the Bloodline, however, because the real Bloodline had Solo Sikoa in it. Jimmy says he knows this game Solo is playing, but he needs to run the play and come back to the family…or else.

Sikoa insists that he’s happy where he’s at right now, and so are the fans. He tells the Usos they can tell Roman Reigns he can kiss his a–, and looks forward to taking on the family with Royce Keys and LA Knight. Out comes Los Angeles Knight himself, who runs the Usos down some more. He says maybe they can patch things up down the line, but now they have to pay penance for what they’ve done lately. The talking is done, and he’ll see them at SummerSlam.

He starts to walk away before stopping on the stage. Or…he can walk down this LA aisle, get into that LA ring, and he and Solo can stomp them out LA style with everyone saying LA Knight…YEAH!

He and Sikoa enter the ring, beating up The Usos until Jacob Fatu comes out for the save. He sends Knight over with a back body drop, and joins The Usos in beating up the pair before Royce Keys comes out for the save. He lays out the Usos first, before entering the ring where Fatu goes after him. This doesn’t last long as Sikoa lands a Solo Spike on him, and Knight lands the BFT to force him out of the ring. Jacob regroups with the Usos on the outside as we cut away.

A video package highlights past Hell in a Cell matches and the danger that could await Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi when they face off at SummerSlam. With that, commentary hypes up SummerSlam and the fact you can hear all about it all week on WWE Radio on SiriusXM.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Raquel Rodriguez vs. Sol Ruca (c)

Ruca tries to catch the challenger by surprise early on, culminating in a nearfall. Rodriguez fights back to send the champ to the corner, but Sol catches her with a kick and a two count. She gets laid out with a clothesline by Raquel as we see Lyra Valkyria watching on backstage. Ruca fights back to send the challenger to the outside with a headscissors, and sends Raquel to the floor with a moonsault as we go to continued coverage brought to you by DiGiorno.

She sends Rodriguez back to the ring, but the challenger quickly turns things around with a body slam to regain control as normal action resumes. She stomps away at the champ who retreats to the corner, only to be sent across the ring by Rodriguez. Back suplex sends Ruca to the mat for a two count. Sol fights back with a right hand, but runs into a shoulder tackle by the challenger for a nearfall.

Raquel backs off as the ref checks on the champ, noticing the busted nose on Rodriguez as she cinches in a chinlock only for Ruca to fight her off. Sol has an opening and takes the challenger to the mat with a bulldog. Big knee strike by the champ, and she makes the cover for a close two count before Raquel kicks out. Rodriguez starts to fight back before getting caught on the top rope by Ruca, who lands a DDT from the turnbuckle for another nearfall.

Raquel gets back to her feet as Roxanne Perez comes running down for the interference. The ref intervenes to get her away, but Morgan trips up the champ allowing Raquel to roll her up…but Sol kicks out at two! Out comes IYO SKY to even the numbers out, but gets intercepted by the Women’s World Champion. they go at it until Liv gets sent into the ring post by SKY, who follows up with a Bullet Train Attack on the apron.

Meanwhile, Roxanne catches Ruca in the corner while the ref is distracted, and this allows Raquel to drop the champ with a Tejana Bomb for the win!

Winner: Raquel Rodriguez via Pinfall to become the new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Commentary hypes up the SummerFest–I mean SummerSlam–weekend of lineups, with the “Human Monies on a Pole” match made official between Danhausen and Dom Mysterio.

From there we go to a video package hyping up the final chapter of the history between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, focused on their part in WrestleMania 41 and the recent months leading to the big World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam.

In-Ring: Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins

We head back to ringside as Roman Reigns makes his entrance, getting a good reaction from the crowd on his way to the ring. We will get this Face-to-Face between Reigns and Seth Rollins up next!

We are back at ringside as Roman enters the ring, getting various chants with his name and “OTC” from the crowd. Before he can tell the crowd to acknowledge him, however, Seth Rollins makes his way out…and the crowd is singing along with HIS music as Seth heads down the ramp.

I am once again staring at my clock, ready for this segment and show to end as Rollins walks to the ring amid the singing. He steps through the ropes, staring his old pal down as he circles the mat with a mic in hand. He tells the crowd to acknowledge him, which gets the crowd from cheering to booing pretty quickly as he mocks Roman’s pose.

Reigns says that’s how you ruin a great thing. He tried to explain it but LA knows the deal…Seth’s an a–hole. Seth admits to being guilty of this, saying he’s the bad guy when it comes to the two of them. That’s fine with him because that is how he gets his. Unlike guys like Roman who get things handed to him, guys like Seth have to struggle and grind to get theirs. For all the things Roman IS good at, one thing he’ll never be better than Rollins at is professional wrestling.

When it comes to what goes on in this ring, Seth owns Roman’s a–. When it comes to what’s going on in that head of Romans, Seth owns Roman’s a– too. Reigns can call him an a–hole all he wants, but he can’t call him a liar. Every time they’ve faced off, Seth owns Roman. What makes him think SummerSlam is going to be any different? What is he gonna do, get disqualified like at Royal Rumble 2022?

Or is he gonna get his Bloodline to do his dirty work? Roman can say he needs to win this match, but he doesn’t stand a chance. Roman says Seth doesn’t understand, calling himself the only real superstar and only true champion around here. When he said it he meant it, he needs to beat Rollins. He needs his family to see him beat Seth. Everyone in this industry needs him to beat Rollins.

This gets an “OTC” chant from the crowd. Seth says it’s funny the things people need. Roman says he needs to beat him, and thinks about him saying he needs his family to be there to see him do it. He recounts WrestleMania 31 when he cashed in Money in the Bank to beat him, sending his family home in tears. He hopes Roman’s family is there on Sunday, because he’d love nothing more than to see them cry again.

When they figure out their daddy is a fraud, a loser, and forever and always be Seth Rollins’s b—h. He laughs until Roman lays him out with a right hand, beating Seth down with stomps and some more punches. Seth gets back up, but is taken down with a Superman Punch by Reigns…who follows up with a Spear! “OTC” chants as Rollins uses the ropes to get back to his feet…but Roman leaves the ring.

He goes to the timekeeper area to grab a chair, running back to the ring…only to take a stomp by Rollins! Seth stands tall over him, mocking the OTC as a few fans sing his theme to bring Raw to a close.
