Nor “Phoenix” Diana Comments on Feeling “Really Blessed And Grateful” After Her Match with Mercedes Mone at HOG SuperClash Event

As noted before, this past Saturday’s HOG x The Big Event SuperClash co-promoted event for House of Glory in Brentwood, New York featured Mercedes Mone defeating Nor “Phoenix” Diana to become the new APAC Women’s Champion. This was Mone’s 13th Women’s championship victory for her current “belt collector” collection of belts held at the same time.

HOG recently released a backstage interview video featuring Diana giving her thoughts about her match against Mone and her feeling “really blessed and grateful” for the opportunity to represent APAC, Malaysia, and Muslim women in wrestling.

“A lot of things but really I feel really blessed and grateful for my only second match in America, so I’m defending the most prestigious title that is APAC Wrestling Women’s Championship, and also, thought of that, I am not only representing APAC, but Malaysia, to all the underrepresented, the hijabs, to everything who looks like me. If you dream big and believe in yourself, you can achieve it too, and yeah, tonight, Mercedes took my championship. You know what? I will get back my title. This is only my second time, and I promise you the Phoenix will rise again and will come back and take what’s mine, and I will be back better than ever, and I will tell the world why I am the flame that never dies.”
