This newly updated match announced was a NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship Tornado Ranbo match of mystery opponents vs. YOH, Master Wato, & Toru Yano (c).

NEVER 6 Man Tornado Ranbo for Wrestle Kingdom! Kaisei Takechi set to hit the Dome! 【WK20】
Two big additions to January 4
The biggest Wrestle Kingdom of all time on January 4 2026 has gotten bigger with two major additions set for the Tokyo Dome.
November 20 in Korakuen at the World Tag League opener, one third of the NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag team Champions YOH staged a sit in protest demanding that he, Master Wato and Toru Yano have the chance to defend their NEVER gold on the grand stage of Wrestle Kingdom 20. Chairman Sugabayashi eventually granted assent, and when YOH said backstage that his team would take on any number of challengers, the match has been made as the first ever Tornado Ranbo.
The NEVER Openweight 6 man Champions were created at Wrestle Kingdom 10, and their tenth anniversary is being marked in this first time ever team ranbo. In the match, an as yet unknown number of teams will make their entrances at one minute intervals. Tornado rules mean there are no tags, and when one member of a team is pinned, submitted or thrown over the top rope, that entire team is eliminated, with the last trio standing the NEVER 6 Man Champions. Who will be victorious in this new twist on a Ranbo Tokyo Dome tradition?
Also confirmed for Wrestle Kingdom 20, Kaisei Takechi of DDT Pro-Wrestling and pop group the Rampage (itself a member of LDH and the EXILE Tribe) will be in action! 27 year old Takechi made his professional wrestling debut in February of 2024 for DDT, and in September managed to claim his own six man gold, winning the KO-D 6 Man Tag titles alongside Yuki Ueno and To-y. Takechi made a decided impact, albeit in defeat in Korakuen Hall at Purge Night of Torture, and now this stadium pop star is a stadium pro-wrestler in the Tokyo Dome January 4. What will Wrestle Kingdom have in store for Takechi?
