AEW held a Selection Special tonight on their YouTube channel for this year’s Continental Classic tournament.
During the special, AEW officially announced the full field of twelve competitors and group blocks for this year’s tournament.
This year’s tournament will be featuring one talent from CMLL, which was revealed to be Mascara Dorada.
Similar to prior tournaments, this year’s tournament will be held under a round robin system with matches to have a 20 minute time limit and nobody being allowed at ringside. In regards to scoring, three points will be awarded for a victory, one point for a draw, and zero points for a loss.
It was also announced that both the League final matches and Finals will be taking place at Worlds End 2025, which takes place on December 27th at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
