John Cena Confirms His Retirement Match Will Main Event 12/13 WWE SNME Show

This Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. will be featuring John Cena facing off against Gunther in Cena’s retirement match for his wrestling career. WWE was believed to not have locked in their plans for Cena’s match placement for the show due to being undecided on having the match open or close out the show as of earlier this week.

A recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show featured Cena as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Cena confirming that his retirement match will be the main event for this Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show.

“That is pizzagate, homie. I was on Jimmy Kimmel, I said I’m ending the show. I said, ‘I normally go to bed early but I’m going to have to stay up late for this one.’ I guess people didn’t read between the tea leaves. We’re last. I don’t know how the rumor started. I think some folks with credibility like to kick a hornet’s nest and get people chattering. I understand, we’re in the age of information and what’s going to keep my attention. ‘You’re not last?’ Sure, that’ll keep my attention. I don’t know how that started. It’s difficult to conceptualize that. I don’t make the menu. If I show up tomorrow and they want me to go on first, that’s what I’ll do, but we are last at this moment.”

Current card for December 13th WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show:

  • John Cena’s Final Match – John Cena vs. Gunther
  • WWE World Tag Team Championship – Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater vs. AJ Styles & Dragon Lee (c)
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Oba Femi
