Red Velvet Comments on Bryan Danielson & Others in AEW Were Supportive of Her During Her Neck Injury Recovery

A recent episode of the AEW Up Close with Renee Paquette show featured ROH Women’s World Television Champion Red Velvet as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Red Velvet’s thoughts about how Bryan Danielson, PAC, and Claudio Castagnoli were very supportive of her during her recovery from a neck injury.

“Bryan Danielson, he’s been great to me and just helped me so much in like the later parts of AEW. And just even after injury too, it was like, he was so helpful in like, how do I move differently to protect my knee from that time? So that was a good turning point at that point …

I had spoke with Claudio (Castagnoli) and Bryan (Danielson), and even PAC and they were just so supporting on like, ‘Hey, just focus from now to heal and come back. Don’t think about anything else’ and that’s all I did. I did P.T. two-a-days, I was going to the gym, I was just head-deep. Especially with the neck, I was like… ‘We don’t play with that.’ I had spoke with Bryan a couple times about that and suggestions and what to do, how to change my workout regimes after as well and I just took all of that in.”

Red Velvet also gave her thoughts about her time away from wrestling from this past June to this past November due to a dislocated shoulder injury and neck-related issues.

“This past injury, it was only a couple of months. I suffered an injury during our tour in Mexico, which I think I wrestled after that. I don’t think I was aware of what happened and I did a show. My shoulder came out of place so I went to tell them, ‘I’m getting stings down my arm’ and their concern wasn’t my shoulder. They were like, ‘Well, in Mexico, you took this really bad dropkick and we’re worried about your neck.’ So I went to get some MRIs and I had two bulging discs in my neck — very tiny — caught very early so, I did P.R.P. (Platelet-Rich Plasma) on that. I did P.R.P. on my shoulder, and everyone was just so sad for me and I was just like, ‘No.’ I said, ‘This is just a little hiccup on the road and I’m gonna fix it and I’ll come back 10 times better.’”

Wheeler Yuta Comments on Daniel Garcia Joining Death Riders

A recent episode of the Casual Conversations with The Classic podcast featured Wheeler Yuta as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Yuta’s thoughts about Daniel Garcia recently joining the Death Riders group in AEW.

“It’s fun to sort of continue that competition (with Daniel Garcia). Even when we were on the independents, I kind of always looked at what he was doing and I’m sure he looked at what I was doing, and we always felt like we were sort of modern contemporaries, and we didn’t actually wrestle much on the independents. It might have just been that one time that we wrestled for an hour-long draw, when I was the IWTV Champion… We’re looking at each other and then, it almost felt like, we get to AEW and then, he goes to the Jericho Appreciation Society, I go to Blackpool Combat Club. It almost felt like we were guys that played at rival colleges and now we just got drafted to the majors but we got drafted to rival team(s). That’s sort of what it felt like so we’ve always had this thing where we’re competing against each other but, I think it’s just made the both of us better. It’s just made us better wrestlers and now that we’re on the same side, maybe we’ll even develop more of a friendship I guess instead of just competing with each other but, it’s always been great to have him to motivate me.”
