NJPW x CMLL x MLW Fantastica Mania USA 2026 Announced for This April in South Carolina

Major League Wrestling recently announced that they will be holding a co-promoted Fantastica Mania USA 2026 event with NJPW and CMLL on April 12th at the Festival Hall in Charleston, South Carolina.

Charleston, SC — Major League Wrestling® (MLW®) will return home to Charleston, South Carolina with a historic super card on Sunday, April 12, from Festival Hall in the heart of downtown Charleston, South Carolina.
The event marks MLW’s first major hometown showcase since relocating its headquarters to the Holy City and will feature a landmark collaboration between three of the world’s most respected wrestling organizations as MLW & NJPW Presents CMLL FANTASTICA MANIA USA 2026, fueled by Danny McBride’s Don Gato Tequila, comes to the Lowcountry.
“As the owner of Major League Wrestling, it matters to me that our hometown always gets the very best this sport has to offer,” said Court Bauer. “Charleston welcomed MLW home, and now it’s only right that we make history here. We’re proud to partner with New Japan Pro-Wrestling and CMLL to bring Fantastica Mania to the Holy City. IWGP Tag Titles Match Set for NJPW The New Beginning in Osaka 2026

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced one newly updated match for the card of The New Beginning in Osaka 2026, which takes place on February 11th at the Edion Arena Osaka in Osaka, Japan.

This new match announced was an IWGP Tag Team Championship – Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura vs. Knockout Brothers (OSKAR & Yuto-Ice) (c).

This new match was setup following Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura defeating Team 150 (Taichi & Tomohiro Ishii) in a #1 Contender’s match for the IWGP Tag Team Championship at Monday’s NJPW Road To The New Beginning 2026 event in Tokyo.

Frankie Kazarian Reveals He’s Recently Underwent Surgery for Broken Hand Injury

Frankie Kazarian announced on Twitter that he recently underwent surgery for a broken hand injury that he had suffered during his match against Bear Bronson this past December in TNA and he had been working through the injury.

Kazarian stated that he suffered a fracture of the first metacarpal bone in his right hand.

“I wrestled the @tnawrestling on @amc_tv premier World Title match & the Genesis Texas Death Match 29 days out of a surgically repaired fracture of the first metacarpal bone of my right hand. Suffered in my match against @bearbronson_ It didn’t stop me then, it won’t stop me now. You NEVER know the entire story. Only what I allow you to know.”

Monday’s NJPW Road To The New Beginning 2026 event in Tokyo, Japan featured Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) & Boltin Oleg defeating TMDK (Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa, & Zack Sabre Jr.) to become the new NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions.

This past Sunday’s CMLL International Weekend show at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico was notable for a fan incident taking place during the CMLL World Middleweight Championship match between Bandido and Templario. This incident involved a fan jumping over the barricades and getting into the ring and issues with security reacting late and struggling to remove the fan.

This past Saturday’s AAA TV tapings in Mexico City, Mexico featured former WWE and NJPW talent TJP making his official debut appearance for Lucha Libre AAA.

This past Saturday’s AAA TV show in Mexico City also featured AAA airing an animated style video package for AAA Mega Champion and WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio. This video package was quickly pointed out by online fans to have been AI generated due to Mysterio was shown wearing the AEW World Championship instead of the AAA Mega title around his waist.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that FOX’s YouTube stream of this past Saturday’s AAA show for South America was taken down mid-way into the show due to AAA officials had mistakenly thought it was an illegal stream and did not realize it was the actual legal feed.

Steve Maclin and Deonna Purrazzo recently announced that they will be holding a wrestling event called Battle for the Brave on June 6th at the Rahway Recreational Center in Rahway, New Jersey. It was announced that proceeds generated will go towards the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling recently announced that The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) will be making an appearance for the company at their co-promoted ROH x MLP Global Wars Canada event on March 27th and their Uprising 2026 event on March 26th in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Major League Wrestling recently teased the upcoming return of their weekly MLW Fusion television series.

MLW also recently announced that Mads Krule Krugger will be defending his MLW World Championship in this year’s Battle Riot match at their Battle Riot 2026 event on January 29th in Kissimmee, Florida.

Game Changer Wrestling recently announced that El Phantasmo will be making his official debut appearances for the company at their The Coldest Winter 4 event on February 14th in Los Angeles, California and their Holy Smokes event on February 15th in Phoenix, Arizona.
