As noted before, AEW had moved this week’s AEW Collision show from its originally scheduled live show on Saturday, January 24th in Arlington, Texas to being a taped show on Wednesday, January 21st in Orlando, Florida instead due to serious winter storm weather issues affecting the Arlington region this weekend. Besides AEW, Reality of Wrestling also cancelled their Glory 9 event that had been originally scheduled to take place tonight in Texas City, Texas due to similar weather-related issues.
Figthful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE officials already have backup travel options in place for their travel logistics for next week’s shows in preparation of heavy winter weather affecting the United States’ East Coasts over the next few days.
WWE is currently in Montreal for tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event show and will be traveling to Toronto for this Monday’s WWE RAW show before heading overseas to Saudi Arabia for next week’s SmackDown and Royal Rumble 2026 shows.
It was reported that WWE is well-prepared for potential disruptions to their current travel plans for next week’s show. WWE representatives spoken to reportedly stated that there are “options, backup options and backup backup options” in place to ensure travel proceeds smoothly this upcoming week.
It was also reported that to mitigate risks, a number of talent and staff are immediately heading from Montreal to Toronto rather than waiting in regards to their usual travel schedule for shows. This reportedly is intended to keep WWE’s roster ahead of the current severe winter weather system in preparation for their final stops before they fly out to Saudi Arabia.
