The reason for McGuinness’ absence likely was due to AEW recently cancelling this week’s live show and moving it to being taped this past Wednesday due to severe winter weather issues affecting the Arlington, Texas area.
Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter Forms New Tag Team
Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter forming a new tag team in AEW Women’s Tag Team division.
During the show, Windsor was seen backstage talking to a mystery person about forming a new tag team and going after some AEW Women’s Tag Team gold. This mystery person was revealed to be Hayter who agreed to join forces with Windsor to win some gold together in AEW

Swerve Strickland vs. Andrade El Idolo & More Announced for Next Week’s AEW Dynamite Show
Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured one new match and one new segment announced for the card of next week’s AEW Dynamite show on January 28th at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park in Cedar Park, Texas.
The new match and segment announced were:

- AEW World Champion MJF to appear

Jungle Jack Perry vs. Ricochet for AEW National Title Set for 2/4 Dynamite & Collision Tapings
Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured one new match announced for either the card of the February 4th AEW Dynamite show or the February 7th Collision show at the Pearl Theater At Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In regards to the Collision show that week, it will be taped on February 4th as part of AEW’s Dynamite tapings at the same venue that night.
This new match announced was an AEW National Championship match of Jungle Jack Perry vs. Ricochet (c).
