Tommaso Ciampa on His Decision To Leave WWE
As noted before, Tommaso Ciampa’s contract with WWE expired earlier this week. Ciampa made his official surprise debut for AEW at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Cedar Park, Texas and had signed an official contract with the company.
Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with Ciampa. One of the topics discussed included Ciampa’s thoughts about his decision to leave WWE and how he had been leaning towards that decision for quite some time.
“It’s something I’ve been leaning towards for quite some time. I don’t know that I can say there’s one sole factor that led to it or caused it. I think it’s one of those things when your contract is coming to an end, you naturally have discussions.
If I wrestled in the 90s, I’d wanna be a part of ECW… Early 2000s, you wanna be a part of Ring of Honor. I was lucky I got to do that a little bit. 2010s, I think for me at least, I wanted to be part of NXT Black and Gold. When I looked at the landscape of professional wrestling in the 2020s… the answer was AEW, man. That’s what I want to be a part of.”

Logan Paul Comments on Him Being “A Legitimate Professional Athlete Now, Life Is About The Art Of The Pivot”
A recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show featured Logan Paul among the guests. One of the topics discussed included Paul’s thoughts about if he ever thought he would be a full-time professional athlete in wrestling when him and his brother Jake Paul were starting to blow up in popularity on social media.
“Hell no, Pat. This is crazy. I’m a legitimate professional athlete now, which is just insane to say but life about the art of the pivot. Doing what you’re good at, doing what you love and finding that pocket and running it.”
