Rey Mysterio Suffered Injuries at WWE Royal Rumble 2026

As noted before, Rey Mysterio suffered an injury at last week’s WWE RAW show in Toronto, Ontario, Canada that was later revealed to not be serious in nature. Despite his injury situation, Mysterio still competed in the Men’s Royal Rumble match at this past Saturday’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026 event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During Monday’s WWE RAW show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, RAW commentator Michael Cole provided an update on Mysterio stating that he has suffered multiple injuries at the Royal Rumble and is currently out of action.

It is currently not known if Mysterio’s injuries at the Royal Rumble were legitimate or just for storyline purposes as a way to write him off while he recovers from his actual injury.

Je’Von Evans Comments on His Iron Man Performance in Men’s Royal Rumble Match at Royal Rumble 2026

This past Saturday’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026 event featured Je’Von Evans becoming the Iron Man performer of this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match. Evans came out as the #8 entrant and lasted for around 40 minutes and 58 seconds.

A recent episode of the WWE RAW Recap podcast featured Evans as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Evans’ thoughts about his Iron Men performance in this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match.

“Honestly, not gonna lie, when Brock Lesnar came in the ring… Everyone I was in the ring with, I honestly grew up watching, so whole time I’m taking all these moves and dang, this hurts, but, I just took a German suplex and an F5 from Brock Lesnar. But that moment, me getting scooped up by Brock Lesnar, in my head, I was like, alright, Brock is strong. I can’t get out of this one. But, I’m about to take an F5, and it’s about to be wonderful… You just gotta be grateful. I’m just grateful that I have the opportunity and grateful that I stayed in the ring for such a long time. Just to be in the ring with GOATS.”

Evans also gave his thoughts about his current goal for his wrestling career is to break Randy Orton’s record for the youngest ever WWE World Champion.

“I think just being a part of WrestleMania would be insane. But you know, there’s a lot of goals that I want to accomplish, and one of those goals is to beat Randy Orton’s record. Be the youngest World Heavyweight Champion. So, I feel like that’s something that I’m grinding for. He won it at 24, I believe. I turn 22 in April. So, I got one or two years so let’s grind for that gold, straight like that.”
