Bron Breakker Hernia Injury & Surgery Update [Update: Breakker’s Royal Rumble 2026 Booking Was Not Related to His Hernia Injury Issue]

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources provided additional details regarding Breakker’s hernia injury and surgery.

Johnson reported that Breakker’s hernia issue was something that had been on-going prior to last week’s RAW show but WWE officials made the decision that surgery was needed for him after his appearance on the show.

In regards to the online speculation of if Breakker’s booking in the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match was related to this issue, Johnson reported that this was not dictated by any injury or health status. Johnson reported that the mystery attacker stuff and his quick elimination from the match was something that WWE officials had always planned for Breakker for his creative direction for him at the event and road to WrestleMania. Johnson also reported that these plans for Breakker has now been changed due to surgery being needed for him.

As noted before, Bron Breakker recently underwent a hernia surgery. The cause of Breakker’s hernia issue was not known at the time.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that Breakker had underwent surgery for a hernia and provided additional details.

Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that Breakker suffered the injury when he flipped the announcer’s table over at ringside during his segment at last week’s WWE RAW show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Johnson also reported that WWE officials had determined by Wednesday, February 4th that Breakker would require surgery for his hernia.

Breakker reportedly has been taken off the road while he recovers and a timetable for his return is currently not known.

Fightful Select reported that their sources within WWE stated that they are currently optimistic that Breakker could return by WrestleMania 42.
