As noted before, the December 13, 2025 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. featured Gunther defeating John Cena in Cena’s retirement match.
Post Wrestling and Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston reported that data obtained from Pollstar revealed that WWE’s event drew a total live gate of $6,553,883.
Thurston reported that this was the largest ever gate for a pro wrestling event in an arena in pro wrestling history and also the largest gate for WWE in 2025.
Thurston also reported that WWE sold 17,121 tickets for the event with an average ticket price of $383.
The previous arena gate record for WWE was $4.89 million, which was set by the January 6, 2025 WWE RAW Netflix premiere show at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
